  5. I have bought 2 off this guy on TM http://www.trademe.co.nz/Members/Profil ... er=1500104 you can usually pick up from East Tamaki or Mt Eden. They had detergent of some sort in them but he cleans them out first and I've been storing rainwater for fish and garden with no issues.
  6. don't go Mcrudd, you can still support the other people
  7. tempted to offer a swap of some needle leaf for the bolbitis in my riverbed tank as it's getting the brown slime algae but it's really hard to wipe it off the undulated leaves... I should put up with it a bit longer and see what happens I think

sorry Joe, I didn't mean to embarrass you. It's good you don't know what one is, means you are getting on with the business of being a kid. When it comes to artwork I probably should have said Portfolio  :spop:
  11. I was a bit shocked to see the goldfish go in but then I laughed because some were just swimming around chowing down with the big fish :slfg:

  13. the little grassy plant is echinodorus tenellus tenellus or dwarf chain sword
  14. I found the seperating them made them both moody and wouldn't feed. The only time it went ok was when I had mature males and females and the females were glad for a break. These 2 seem to be quite good friends most of the time. Aaron I have about 180ml of water with 1 drop of blue. It's quite blue so I'll water it down. Am going to get a magnifying glass today so I can tell which eggs have mop hair stuck to them and which look like they have fish inside
  15. haha that is funny I like the kitten noises in the background from the ones you can't see who are clearly getting up to mischief. Remote control air horn would be funny, maybe just once and then I'd feel guilty :sml2:
  16. baby gorillas anyone? http://youtu.be/ek2kMnLlttI reminds me of someone I know
  17. live streaming Kitten Cam! :nilly: http://new.livestream.com/accounts/3981 ... ts/1594566 emailed my landlord to ask for a cat this week... worded it carefully so if he doesn't reply it will be counted as a yes. So the options are reply with yes reply with no no reply = yes therefore 2 out of 3 chances I win

did you take a photo of your photos in the exhibition? I'd like to have a look if you don't mind?
  19. today's news: Boring news - Have been getting up to about 8 killifish eggs a week in the mop, none of them have done anything yet. A few go cloudy, the rest go blue in the meth blue water. Exciting news - After 6 weeks of cherry barbs in the mossy tank there weren't any fry so I was getting suspicious. I moved them all into the CPD tank and waited... nothing emerged from the moss. Then last week I moved 1 pair back to the moss tank for about 5 days and then moved them back. Lo and behold, today I found 2 fry. They were big enough to be interested in microworms so I gave them a water change and left them to chomp. The moss is pretty thick in 2 thirds of the tank so there is plenty of room for more to be hiding - here's hoping I find some more soon :happy2:
  20. video update the old-new crypt is thriving and all the plants are doing really well. The hair algae is also doing very well for itself and I found a bottle brush to wrap it around and pull it out once a week. You can't really see it unless you look closely, or if it gets something stuck in it. I moved the cherry barbs in here to see if they were eating their eggs/fry, they seem to get on OK with the remaining CPDs and erythromicrons. The answer is that yes they were...so now I need to update my breeding thread :bounce:
