My workmate has a 90L community tank that has a variety of individual fish he likes, some plants and ornaments. He has a balloon ram and would like a dwarf cockatoo but doesn't know if they are compatible. Also would like to know if the balloon rams are compatible with blue and/or german rams. I said I would ask the other fishheads as I am not sure. He's not planning to keep pairs so perhaps aggression among dwarf cichlids would be minimised?? what do you think? thanks

NZKA is very quiet at the moment, and has been for maybe over a year so if you post a request on there you may not get a response. Also the number of people with killies has dwindled a lot. The people I know that have killies and who read the forums would read the WTB section and it wouldn't hurt to post a request in the general killies section as well.

I thought about doing that but decided I'd rather have a dedicated bottom feeder tank. It's also really easy to make sure that the bottom feeders get fed properly because they aren't competing with the fast swimming fish, and I wanted to see if I could get eggs that wouldn't be eaten by a schooling fish. There are 4 loaches, which do swim around in all areas of the water though. I would like to make the group up to about 7 again as that will bring them out a bit more, but I worry I'll have too many fish in there.

not yet, competition closes on Wed which will then be a week of being ignored........ this time it's good, I am glad of it. Luckily the email wasn't about something serious about the house :roll:
