  1. just bring him in a little bag and I will have him on my knee like a cat, noone will notice in any case isn't the one after this at Josh's house, in which case he won't mind. If he does I will bribe him with pizza sticks
  2. Georgia can your bunny go on 'road trips'? If so, bring him to fishclub so I can squeeze him! Though not this one as I am not going. (i love bunnies)
  3. If yours were the ones that were marked sold, they are pretty
  4. cool 8) Now you have an empty tank, you can start another Another what shall I put in this tank thread.... :digH:
  5. Nope, it's the creamy coloured stuff on page 2 of the thread wrapped around the bottom of the eheim filter with a cable tie strapped round it. It's not a fine sponge, quite coarse, you can just see through to the other side in places but you'd have to be trying to get through, only a very small fry could weedle their way through it. I got it from Para Rubber, they said it was aquarium filter sponge and shaved it off a block, the piece I have is about 6mm thick - if you tell me the rough circumference of the inlet hose and how long it needs to be I can shove it in an envelope. Or you can come get it if you like, I'm still at same place. I can also take Sharkey back again if you like to keep my other one company but I think you are quite attached to those little guys

  7. I asked for killies and no-one answered my posts. It keeps being said 'join the club join the club' but after Barrie left there was no-one in Auckland who replied. Maybe I'm too impulsive but I wasn't going to keep a display tank empty for long periods waiting for a fish to turn up. Now the gold australes I wanted are in the shops but there aren't any females. Moan over
  8. I've seen a second hand kayak with a broken seat strap sell for more than a brand new one

  10. Maybe they get their little suckermouths stuck in the holes and get worn out trying to pull free? It sounds rather dramatic doesn't it but that's the only thing I can think of. They are greedy little pigs after all. I have a piece of sponge that I can post to you, you can wrap it around and stick it there with a cable tie, it's porous enough to let stuff in but doesn't seem to get stuff sticking to it. If you look in my planted tank thread or the loach thread you will see the stuff I am meaning.

  16. In the video I do think the hydrocotyle takes up a lot of space... how about move it to the back behind the twig that has the moss and then it will cover some of the back where the green pipe is. It can sit on the twig side but bush over to the left and cover the back a little. Other than that if you can't see that it's a big deep tank with lots of fish then you must be barmy. There is some level of faith required to 'see' that it has depth, by applying logic. So my opinion is to see if you can thin out or move the hydrocotyle but the rest is good. It's semantics I tell you.
  17. Do you have dwarf chain loaches too ? Mine like to hang out under the plants and in the corner under the filter if there is nothing happening that is food related, but when I come over and appear to be feeding them they come out and sniff about in the sand and come to the top. After dinner they will mill about all over the bottom, in and out of the plants and around the back of the wood looking for food and mischief. Yesterday afternoon before dinner they were swimming at the front of the tank in the current too. There is also a hole in one of the woods, sometimes they sit in there and look out the hole like cats in a box but I haven't caught them doing that lately, I suspect because the usual one to do that was the fat one and now he/she is a bit fatter. I tried to keep the areas around the edges planted and then leave a free space in the middle as I understood that shy fish like to be able to see everyone in the group all the time. It didn't really work for my pygmy corydora except at mealtimes but these guys are less shy. With these guys, the more of them I've had, the more active they are.
  18. is that why in so many of the marine tank photos people post have a bare bottom? (I always feel the need to use an emoticon for those last 2 words but I resisted)
  19. twisty leaves one loach's trash is another shrimp's treasure - a bit of unwanted snail King shrimp again Mr Skinny looking at the camera - I think his job in the group is Scout the little guys
  20. This is what I call a fuzzy group shot. Here we have all 3 fauna represented with King Shrimp viewing his domain from above.
  21. HFF Mt Roskill have a few different kinds at the moment but I usually PM Supasi first or put a wanted ad in the trade section. Supasi/Simon often has a range of crypts and he packages them well too.
  22. search for the word cardinal and my name, should bring up a good thread on white worms and cardinals for your info
