    The What's Up? thread.

I ate a countdown blueberry and white chocolate muffin today. This one did not have the customary piece of white chocolate stuck in the top like they usually have but the icing was very thick and chocolatey. I have become a gourmet of these muffins, and will hunt them out, looking for the ones with the most icing. The best ones EVER were at the Paeroa supermarket in Jan/Feb, so much icing on top it was almost illegal. I was thinking that since Anthony Law is from Paeroa, he could go and have a look and see if they still make them that big or whether it was a one-off just for the tourists. I need someone to tell me that Muffin Heaven still exists when I am out on my travels... !drool:

why the itching - did they shave off your 100 year old dreadlocks?
  8. Great news your cat is back home again. Our cat used to go on walkabouts and when he came back he used to flop on the carpet and lie there like a beached whale and then sleep for a whole morning or afternoon, eat lots and then back to normal until he went walkabout again. It was very stressful for me never mind him.
  9. each extra tank you have past 2 counts for another 10 years in age....

  11. That sounds like :sage: advice. They will have to stay in their breeding tank though as I have taken up all my fish space with loaches now.
  12. ooh I might go for a trip out west then 8)
  13. I got mine end of Feb/beginning of March and they seem full size or almost. The little ones are still little though not as tiny as the ones in the shops. I want to see eggish results :nilly:
  14. the idea is to cure the weak, not kill them
  15. how old do corys have to be before they will breed?
  16. I'm too chicken to use meds with ingredients I don't know about. Some of my fish were expensive (to me) and I don't want to kill them in an experiment.
  17. The Godfather (Luca Brasi was sleeping with the fishes)
  18. Aqua Village is interesting but am not sure of the hours, would pay to ring in advance to find out. Aquaworld in Target Rd Wairau (North Shore) has lots of saltwater fish and corals I thought was cool and some freshwater too. HFF Mt Roskill is my favourite for the variety of fish, products and knowledge and HFF Albany is similar but a bit more spacious. HFF have the best deals for dry stuff and usually their plants are good also. The Animates stores around are all OK but don't have anything particular specialised that I've noticed, but they often have useful specials on other bits. Pupuke Aquarium Centre in Pupuke Rd Birkenhead is another small but interesting store. There is a big fish n pet store at Takanini, forgotten the name. If you had to choose one store though, HFF MR has the most different kinds of fish overall.
  19. David, I look forward to getting my first private message from you advising which accidental swearword or rudity you have deleted from my post :digH:

  21. what little snoots. I was thinking of putting mine back in the loach tank to see if they behave like fish again after having lived in a breeding tank for a couple of months.
