1 handed shoe lace tying is good :thup:

here's a tip, I have a tank that I have measured 25litres and put masking tape on the side to that mark so it's always easy to get to the right level. Have just been to the chemist and asked for the smallest syringe, they found me a 1ml syringe with measurements into .1 of a mil. So now I can measure all the medications accurately - the latest I was using wanted 1 ml per 100L and I was just guesstimating how much that would be in my dropper for the 25L tank.

I am a Fish Head and proud, yeah some of my workmates look at me sideways when I tell them about which fish died or performed a backflip on the weekend but I think they are just as weird. Some people just don't get pet keeping at all. I have been a Fish Head for about a year or 2, I would say I aspire to be a real Fish Nerd. :smln:

Last night I had a warm but not hot shower, this morning the hot tap ran water that was cooler still. There seems to be a slow leak of some sort around the base of the cylinder as the wood it sits on is a little damp (no pools of water). Last power bill was normal so is either a recent event or very slow fault. We turned it off at the mains to slow down any further trouble in the morning, then the landlord came over after lunch and turned it on, and turned it up to see if it would heat. The pipes and the water are now hot again. Am yet to have a shower and see if it can do it again. What would cause a) a leak by itself in a 5 year old tank and b) the water to not heat in the first place but to work again later or c)both ? Does anyone know about these? :dunno:

Found my fatty catfish dead this afternoon. Fat tummy still, maybe a bit too fat, no signs of fishy foul play.... belly a bit red maybe, I wonder if he ate something he shouldn't have. :dunno:

there's that big french bakery/caferight next door to you.... !drool: and in other news, today we discovered that the hot water cylinder has died, no hot water and a leak. Luckily it's downstairs in the garage so no floor damage and no plumber will need to traipse through the house. However the landlord just about had a heart attack when I told him and hasn't rung me back with a solution yet. I hope my day gets better from here :facepalm: :facepalm: :facepalm:

my christmas moss is growing slowly under 14000K lights. It grows tendrils straight up but as of a week or 2 ago, some of the older tendrils have started growing their branches. So if you can wait, yes it does work.... eventually
