there are no catfish in there and no fish to make so many big poops it has to be bugs or algae of some sort to quote my white poop thread 'we all love a poop thread' :happy1:

it looks like poop but it can't be poop from only 5 ember tetra. Unless you have a big snail it might be an odd algae growing on the wood. How big is the snail?

try soaking the flake food and then firing it into the water with a dropper. I have various dried foods that my little rasbora are less inclined to take from the top but will eat if it's in the water column. Also you can thaw bloodworm and chop it cleanly with a razor into smaller bits. Thawed brine shrimp also has fine particles that the little fish will eat. Any sort of worm can be chopped smaller. All my little fish eat microworms too. -
