  1. looks good Liam. White or black background would look alright as the neons would stand out well, as opposed to blueish colours like mine. --- Hey Liam, you should let us come and see your tanks in the tank crawl on Sat. I fear mine will be the only small ones on show &c:ry

LMCB refuses to be hemmed in by science! In other news my pygmy corydora have gone to a new home with an experienced breeder and my dwarf rasbora breeding project continues. Male moved back to the main tank, females moved into feeding area, now I scrutinise the moss for wrigglers. And after being told that my car would fail this warrant if I didn't pay $200 to get a dent fixed I took it elsewhere to another reputable firm and it passed. Oh how happy I be :happy2:
  6. For me it depends on the point of breeding. If you are trying to create something particular or are looking to the future of the breed/clan etc then yes you should cull. If not too fussed and your hobby doesn't affect other people, fish don't get sold on etc then there's no harm in letting the bung ones live out their lives I suppose. That is unless the unwanted characteristic is going to cause the fish a problem of course. Your fish could have had no end of eating and health difficulties with a deformed jaw.
  7. the loaches may need help realising they are food, mine did. I squash them on the glass and drop them in, then everyone has a go at them on the way down but then the loaches dart up, grab them and zip off again. it's funny

  9. glad to see you kept the towel rail in the background too :sml1:
  10. or you could get one of those floating cones with the holes for the worms to wriggle out, the fish can then swim up and inspect them at their leisure before having a chomp. the benefit of chopping them up is that you can more evenly spread the worms around for everyone to get a bite without overfeeding the fatty fish. Well, that's my experience anyway.
  11. could also try chopping them up so they don't realise they are quite so alive ... then when they get the taste for them there will be no going back

  20. Bikbok feeds 6 times a week, she gives her fish a fast day. I do it from time to time but not in an organised fashion. Sometimes I feed just a little a couple of nights so they are not getting too much food.
