Nah this one really does seem all good, just tweaked it a little and ill leave till this arvo. I just wish they didnt need to slime up when youve allready been skimming.

They need driftwood because they absorb Lignin, (the secondary growth form of the wood) this helps them to digest the algae they consume. HTH Ben

Well things were going ok last night so i decided to try and help speed things up. dumped a full vial of reef booster in there, this normally makes my berlin go mental, but instead the tunze lost any head it had. This morning it was almost full with very clear liquid, have cleaned out that cup and now i may be getting some where Got head but no skimmate, looking good tho Ben

This unit is very well made and extremely plug and play, that is once you find the apropriate section in the manual. comes with a cleaning kit and several mounting options. Foam after 45 mins Whole unit puls my trusty berlin in the corner Beer o'clock

i tried that trick brian it didnt work, well it might of helped. I gave them a bath in F/exit and doubled the dose, then i gave them a fresh water bath adjusting the ph and temp for about 5 minutes this really seemed to help. i also used a small power head in both baths and tried to blast them off. well back in Auck Wacka now, had a really great time. CHCH is an awesome city. Only got to petworld and critter kingdom. They werent too bad . Only got to see one reall dispaly tank and that was Laytons which is very nice. Got back and the tank is still alive allthough a couple of acros maybe on there way out . Ben

I just saw one of the, aqua c, ev skimmers in action down at pet world in CHCH wasnt working well at all, i think they needed to clean or get a bigger pump, very very simpl design though. And i thought i was farming aptasia up in my auclkand shop :lol: Went to c kingdom they had a mean yellow stag for sale but thats about it, nice shop though the best so far. Will try to get to redwoods when they open up again after new years. everyone have a great night today. Ben

Yay i may be getting a stream and a new skimmer for xmas, oh and an ro/di. How ever santa doesnt like me so im spoiling myself :lol:

fully i dont see the point in feeding into the skimmer for the same reason, i like having the media basket above the water line and feed the effluent into aragonite JMHO
