My cat is a big useless fluff ball :lol: She caught a bird once but didn't kill it and catches crickets once or twice a month. Still, we are very strict about the cat, she can't be with the bird at all. Pushy you say? How pushy? Yeah, Mum suggested "Ice" but I thaught it was a bit plain.

He doesn't seem that little compared to the Zebby's. He bit me once or twice (didn't hurt) when I picked him up and held him. When he tries to get off my finger he bites for more grip. Sweetest little Budgie though. Any name ideas? I'm super stuck.

Very nice, could do with more rocks though. Congrats on the glosso, what are the lighting specs? Too bad we don't get those cool little shrimp over here, they'd look wicked.

Haha! Budgie arrived just after 6pm tonight. Settling in well, very still. He hopped away from my finger but he eventually jumped on. He sat on my for a bit then went exploring around the lounge, he like under the aquarium cabinet. Cat very interested but told off. He sneezed three times but seems okay, the missing toe doesn't seem to hinder him either. Here's a few pics (he's going to make a great model):

One question before "bird" arrives... The doors on his cage are slide up and I've read that they can open these. What precautions do I need to take to prevent an escape? Also, name suggestions?

Yeah, I thought the natural perches would be good, I don't use dowel anymore. So just two perches would be fine? No need for him/her to sit on a platform?

Hopefully the baby seen above should arrive sometime in the near future But I've only ever kept finches and quails before, none of them tamed, not even close. I have a couple of light driftwood perches of varying sizes but what else do the need/like? Nesting boxes or resting platforms? Full tank shot, photos of features and occupants then a list of the tank specs. Perhaps even a planting plan?
