  1. When you're so keen to plant the new tank that you buy plants in Hamilton the day before you leave, fall asleep on the bus, get drenched because the bag got tipped over but still stoked that you're going to be planting the tank tonight! :bounce: x lots and lots
  2. Yes She likes the way the ottos zoom around in the dark. Kept me up till 4am

    Would this work?

Why would you paint the background when backing paper is quicker, easier and removeable? :-? Personally, I'm put off by any tanks that have been painted.
  4. Does your cat hallucinate and attack your tanks when the lights are off?

Haha! No worries, most people completely miss my jokes. Perhaps a " " at the end may have helped. P44, very nice fish you got there!

    Lancelota camo

It was a joke, referring to the very good camouflage 8)
  7. AFAIK- The fern is Ceratopteris thalictroides/Indian Fern & Water sprite. Pine "looks" like red pine. HTH

He? I see nothing but rocks and plants :-?
  9. Perhaps post an image of your plant, then we can I.D and find you an auction/auctions with that plant for sale in it?
  10. Indian Fern/Water Sprite= Ceratopteris thalictroides Water Fern = Azolla? (The one listed as water fern on TM isn't Azolla Sp.) Water Wistera = Hygrophila difformis HTH Google IS your friend 8)
  11. I saw that you mentioned you're looking for coldwater fish in your first post, if you're getting into BN's and other tropical fish, make sure they have a heater
  12. http://www.reef-one.com/biOrb-60 This is their largest one. Personally I prefer standard square and rectangular tanks but 60L is plenty big enough for a few of the smaller tropical FW fish.
  13. Aw! Someone who cares about their fish as much as P44  I'll try it now, I use my drill for making holes in other bits of fruit, never tried it with a cucumber. Problem is that I only have freeze dried bloodworms so they'll float
  14. I only feed Hikari Algae wafers and Cucumber. Not sure how I'd get them to eat bloodworms :-?
  15. Geez! I hope she's a mutant of sorts, cant have mine getting any bigger.
  16. I mean the traditional bowls with pink gravel, fake plants and a pair of overgrown goldfish called lucky and goldy in it.
  17. I really do hope you're joking. If not, there goes my sales pitch! His "partner" is heaps smaller than him.
  18. Yes, I have seen it before, many times. Not in real life but they're all over the internet. They work very well due to the built in aerator (filter?) and lights, things that many bowls won't have. They also come in very large sizes and as seen above, the conversion kits. I watched a video on YouTube once (also in disbelief about the practicality of these bowls) with a pair of clown fish in it. Appeared to work very well to my surprise.
  19. Try putting them in a black container or darker substrate. Mine went "all patchy" when they were stressed or on a light coloured sand.
  20. Should have asked this morning or yesterday. He's just gone camping for a week 8)
  21. That's them. Just make sure the lamp is rated at 6500k and is the same fitting type as the lamp.
  22. Rage "clamp" lamp. Its in a white box with a green background behind the picture, also comes in a standard desk form. Bought a 6500k energy saver light made by Philips. Also in a white box with green background behind picture. HTH
