  1. Thanks. We have a couple of girls that wont fit in the caves you sent us so I will have to go get some PVC and hide it somewhere in the tank that cant be seen
  2. I have a group of spotted BN that have decided to breed. The only problem I have is that the females will not fit in the bamboo caves I have. What do other people use for their Plecos?
  3. they do look cool but for the price they are not required in a tank were they are lots of things that will eat them
  4. I only spend enough time to feed them once a day. The rest of the time is for looking at them. Plants might get pulled out if they are looking messy but that is only a matter of seconds and the WC is just sticking the hose in the tank a flicking a switch
  5. Tania is still here just we are both too lazy after work to post much
  6. Try http://www.vicbooks.co.nz/ I walk past them every day so can pick stuff up for you
  7. I like the Aqua One. - good reliable pump - easy to clean - easy to connect/disconnect hoses - large media volume - very little noise
  8. If the fish was under $100 they might not know what it is but if it was over that they should know the colour. If you want any store to get you discus you can ask and they can order the below from one of the lists: Green Turquoise Red Turquoise Pigeon Red Map Blue Diamond Marlboro Red Red Carnation Red Spotted Snakeskin
  9. The closest to you would be Care Vets in Johnsonville. If they dont have what you want they can order it for you. They are a good price and have good fish. I have never had a sick fish from them
  10. Hey, What part of Wellington are you in? There are a couple of fish/pet shops around depending on what type of fish you are looking for. Bronze-dragon also works for a vet & pet shop in Porirua but she only has the normal community fish ect
  11. are you sure about that? http://www.sony.co.nz/product/kdl-40ex400 it is 50/60Hz
  12. That is the one we have just got. They are a good tv and a good price
  13. I hate to sound harsh but... she took the job knowing that they open on xmas and that there was a high possibility of her having to work. Most people that choose to work in retail will have to work most public holidays. This xmas is only going to be the 3rd I have had off in the last 11 years of work.

    Furan

Some of the pet shops will sell Furn in the smaller packets (what used to be the capsules). I think the pet center is the only one in wellie that does it
  15. Why do you say the consumers guarantees act? it is fit of purpose for a small gold fish or 2. It is sold as a beginners pack and they have the intention of selling a bigger tank as the fish grows and the tank is no longer fit of purpose. I think that you will find that it is the fair trading act that covers deceptive conduct
  16. Wet Pets have a nice range of display tanks and they have some larger fish there too
  17. I believe that a lot of the responsibility lies with the cyclist. As a driver I need to identify hazards. I think a cyclist should have to do the same
  18. It depends on what you want to do as to if you need uni. I work with a lot of people that have degrees and I done but we are doing the same job and getting paid the same. Oh and whats the bit about " that's not how it goes anymore unfortunately" I am only 26 and Tania is 21. She started full time work when she was 14 (and went to school)
  19. If you were doing all the above I would consider you an adult. I was working full time, driving and living away from home at 16 so I know how much it changes someone when they are actually doing all those things.
  20. It is about 80% of them that do it down here
