Are these really pink Danio's? or some GM fish. Just seen it listed on a certain trading site... I know a few girls that would like the look of these if they're legit.

spotlight has plastic A4 and A5 size sheets on mesh stuff, i use it to divide fry from other fish, and mesh walls. cost $2 or $3 for the A4 sizes. Its in the craft section, i got mine from Porirua Spotlight.

nice, i use these, but also some strips i made myself(couldn't get correct light frequencies with pre-made ones). Im guessing its the wide angle, 100-120 degree or something like that. Im currently using 135 degree on the coloured lights and 120 on whites. For good growth you want the "Cool White" colour ones, these give the 6000+ K. the warm white are half that, and IMHO not a very nice colour light. I also use a blue strip and orange/red strip to encourage growth and flowering as with other plants, mainly orchids and vege's, and it shows similar(slightly lower) growth results which i believe is due to the frequency change when going through water, although different plants grow at different rates. There should be a thread on here with results, and my theories before i had tried them(or it may have been somewhere else lol, cant really remember). Good thing about the ones i think u got, they're water proof, so can be exposed to the water, although I wouldn't submerge them. I also use a PC power supply, which has multiple connections and i can control each strip individually, currently set-up with 2 x 2 strips of 100 LED's, 1 strip of 100 blue, 1 strip of 50Blue/50white(alternating) and a strip of 30 red/60 white(alternating). the white strips being premade, and the others i made myself. and you can also hook up fans to the PC power supply easily so you can run Metal hallide lights if your running marine.

If your after foreign Languages, a few suggestions (I work at Vic Uni in IT, and we have our PC image setup for the Language school) Arabic(alot of Arabic Students, and it also opens up Malay, Indonesian etc.); Mandarin(Not sure if that's the dialect you mean with Chinese); French(Which used to be Taught in schools and still is as a choice subject); Spanish(Which is the Second most natively spoken Language in the world, also opens up Italian, Portuguese, and others); Japanese(NZ does alot of trade with Japan, being only a small country they have a big influence on Technology, so you'll be able to translate those pesky instruction manuals which dont have english) German(usually a good one and also opens up other Euro languages, its also the base languages of English so isn't too hard to pickup) only other one i can think of is Korean, but the ones above would be the top ones i can think of that we also cater for the most at Vic, and are also the most spoken in the world.

the number one would be Te Reo of course, seeing as its NZ's other official Language, and theres a dedicated TV Channel that mainly uses the language. And the other official language is NZ Sign Language so that would probably have a decent demand for it too.

well they may be able to prove that it is cruelty to animals, Don't Axy's only morph if due to necessity IE. no/very little water(Which seems the reason for the guy selling it), or very unhealthy water, and the more inhuman way of purposely adding pollutants to force the morph etc. which also puts alot of stress on the animal causing its lifespan to be significantly reduced

That site looks a bit dodge to me

Firefox not displaying pages correctly, whats going on?
Ghaz replied to supasi's topic in The Off Topic Fishroom
try updating flash player, and delete history and cookies again. Reset FF Settings to default. last try updating FF to latest version. Its most likely flash player. also any other software like read and write gold, adobe reader etc. that are used in FF needs to be up to date or disable all the add-ons and turn then on one at a time to you find the bad one. make sure to fully close FF and re-open after doin any changes. Alternatively change to chrome but do the flash player first, then try the rest. -
yeah looks to be an authentication issue to individual pages or something. I'm able to access August but not the others. Have tried IE 8 and 9, Chrome and latest Frontmotion Firefox. Have reset settings in all browsers and also made sure save password, and auto login are checked, and issue still occurs. Not getting any issues with the drop down menu, shows fine for me on the top layer.

Same as a padlock, it's more a deterrent to stop people, rather than prevention.

You'd be best off running a dual boot with Linux, and using clamAV which is also open source which means free, and built into the latest versions of Linux. Clam can scan all partitions including the windows boot one. Comes in GUI and CUI so anyone can use it easily. Linux also use bugger all resources, and the scans don't take long at all. I use Symantec Endpoint which is good, but can bring down performance a lot unless your fully up to date with everything on the computer. My gaming pc Runs no antivirus software, but is pretty secure via the router, and network monitoring software, and I've never had problems with it, but I also don't download dodgy stuff or goto dodgy sites on it.

will get some pics when im not working, prob this weekend. But nothing impressive, its just a 40*30*20 for breeding in, they(my faves) live in a 90 long community when not breeding, and a 70(ish) long grow out tank setup and ready. Have several acrylic holders that i made up just small ones also use these to take decent pics, they look nicer than coke bottles lol, and they also suction to the side of a full tank so just float in place. planning on a bigger community tank in april(B'day ) so will use the 90 as a grow out tank, and having another breeding tank built with 4 breeding bays and a grow out section(about 1200 long is the plan, will probably start a build log) planning on releasing the female this weekend(still learning with bettas, had 1 successful yet small spawn, and a few unsuccessful) but have studied alot and have done some genetics studies before and wanting to get a decent line going, just need to find some nice stock to start with. *** actually, ill see if i got any pics on my facebook or Phone.

if he's the same guy i seen on there with the decent looking ones, i wish he did delivery, they all seem to be from up north and pickup only. there is one person who does delivery only, but very limited description, and dont like the answers to questions, and dont really want to breed with something i have no idea what it is (VT's with crowns or HM's etc). Currently have a almost completely red CT(a bit of blue on his Pelvic fin) im going to try to breed with a Very dark, with blue iridescence HM girl(almost looks like Black Orchid). fingers crossed it will be successful.

i might have to do a bit of homework to make some marine lights if i go that way. by the looks of it corals will need the low light spectrum to achieve good growth. The lower the light spectrum the deeper the light can penetrate, hence the reason for blues, so im guessing in nature with corals being at the floor of the ocean they have evolved to require a lower light spectrum to plants out of water. so the deeper your corals are found in nature the blue the light... correct me if im wrong, just some conclusions i came to re-reading on light wavelength and water refraction. might have to start in marine to test some lights lol
-
Is there a reason for violet lights? do corals require this spectrum of light to grow/flower(correct term with corals?)? or just for visual effects? Im a fairly experienced gardener and use LED's with a white/blue/red 5/3/1 ratio and white/red/orange 3/1/1 ratio. but not sure of the use of violet. have had white/blue red turned off running on FW planted tank and they seem to like it better than T5's, have had LED's on for a couple weeks(just a trial for now) and my ambulia has grown about 3 times as much as when i had T5's on for a month. will be trying red not too far away to see how that goes.

Yeah apparently the new discrepancy is 2km now.... down from 8 or 9 whatever it used to be. i think it used to be 4 km's for the speedo and 4km's for the cop radar. still got the original for proof of the speed. i got out of it in the end cos they sent the reminders out to the wrong address. they sent it to house number 291 not 191 lol. with all the reminders they sent out it had racked up to $260.
-
Its not really the need to go fast, i know its no excuse but i was done for 53 in a 50 area in my daily driver a month ago. i know that its technically speeding but a radar woulda saved me a bit of cash then. it just reminds me to look at the speedo which im not keeping my eye on all the time. its the irresponsible and bad drivers that cause the crashes. there is just as many older drivers that cause crashes as there are "boy racers", its just too easy to get a license. they gave my grandad a new license and this was when i moved in to help him cos he couldn't look after him self, a couple of weeks later he was in a car crash cos he didn't know the proper road rules. Personally i get more annoyed at people that drive too slow than too fast. which also causes crashes and sometimes death.
-
The traffic cops have the radars always on, and regular cops and mufti's can turn it on when they like. cops can also get you when you are behind them with the new radars. good thing is they haven't changed the frequency yet so the older detectors can still pick em up. Cops only get the person in the lead cos they can only pickup 1 car at a time, and the person in front is usually the one to get tagged. if they don't record your speed then they can't do anything, just ask to see your reading. got a Vally in my S15, and Uniden in S14. but also remember although cops aren't strick on it your not aloud radar detectors. get a Vally if you can afford it, and hard wire it jus above your rear vision mirror so its unseen. you can jus Use the wires from the light in the roof, and run a new wire from the ACC on the ignition.

i have them in the stream in the backyard, im in kapiti. i have had them go from stream temp, which is pretty cold, i think about 9 degrees, and gradually increased the temp over a month or so to 24, and those ones live till the tank smashed. about 2 months later. get about 100 or so in about half hour during the day. they were happy in my native tank, put some in with my oscar and gold sev, they all died after a week or so, im guessing due to the sudden temp change. oscar didn't eat them but sev ate them if i cut em in half.
