Most of our lumpies hide too, only really see them when it's dinner time. It is a shame they're such a shy fish - they are so cool, but they do come out when they think you're not looking :lol: -

I am not sure if it's normal for them to do it - but i would say there's proberly lack of oxagen (sp?) I would suggest you do a water change and also increase aeration and see if they still do it under that. -

I'd just give it a hose down. You'll have to post pictures of it when you've finished sculpting the holes in it and in the tank, I can imagine right now it's going to look awesome.

Is it fluffy? Are there any other fish in the tank? do they also have it? I have successfully treated afew fish that has had fluffy white fungi over it's body but you need to treat ASAP I used Wunder Tonic follow as directed you will need to keep treating until all clear - the fish will lose the fins but will grow back.

great stuff Caryl - is it short or the telegraph cucumbers? I will have to try this one ... 3. Tired of your bathroom mirror fogging up after a shower? Try rubbing a cucumber slice along the mirror, it will eliminate the fog and provide a soothing, spa-like fragrance.

Hmm yea I wouldn't recommend cories in with africans even juvies - I have done it and have had bad results they will survive with them but won't be happy - the african's like to nip and as ryan said eat eyes

What size is it? Looks like a female to me. I find the females lump protrude forward with a flat top and have a rounder face - males get big lump on top

I not to famialr with the white spot cure as i use "tonic" But I would follow instructions as per what the bottle says - day 1 add 1ml per 20litres, day 3 add 1ml per 40 litres, day 6 water change with good vaccum then repeat again if the white spot is still there - or if spots are gone add carbon to remove meds. HTH -

Just make sure you do really good gravel vaccums to get rid of the cysts and keep using the medicine untill all the white spots have completley gone - usually it takes 2 rounds to treat it. -
