I had some fishing line and threw it away
I'll see if I can source some more, otherwise I'll give the razor blade option a go.
Thanks for the help everyone
If I was to knock it gently at the seam, would the glass loosen to come away in one part or will smashing it be the only answer?
I can't completely empty the tank as it still contains fish so acetic acid is not an option unfortunately.
I have a small corner of my tank that's been partitioned off, that I now what to remove. The silicon is very thin so I can't get my box cutter knife between the sections. Is there any way to easily remove the silicon other than by cutting it?
I haven't seen that show but that is amazing. Still, I'd be worried about smacking my head on it every time I get out of bed.
@ Amtiskaw - where are the fish?
I'm happy to offer the stud services of my Dull-eyed Royal, though it would be a loan and local only as I don't want to ship. But agree it would be nice to keep stock plentiful in NZ if we can.
Or studette services, I'm not sure how to tell the sex.
I want to paint some rocks white to use in one of my tanks.
I did a search of the site and it seems basic household paint is safe to use in the tank. Can anyone please clarify what type of household paint as I want to be sure Im not putting anything toxic in the water.
I tried my Royal on broccoli after reading that BNs will eat it and he loved it - though it took him probably 2 days to get through it and the clowns were a big help to devour it too.
I think it's best to feed fresh vegies minimum of once a week.
Most evenings after work I'm home late so have dinner then go to bed so the heater isn't on long, or it hasn't been particularly cold so I don't need it on a high setting.

Power bill is less than $100 - though last month was $130 as I had the heater on full bore over a weekend last month as it was particularly cold - so that's where my power goes, blasted electric heater.
The chest will be sturdy enough, it's the tank spilling over the sides I'm concerned about. The tank will probably be about 180 litres so maybe I should find a tank to fit the chest exactly with that weight?
I have an odd shaped corner tank, and my son, being a whiz with maths - worked out it's measurements as 0.243m3 or 243148.422cm3 - what is that in litres?
