  1. No, it was Handsome  It disintegrates?! Thank goodness for that! Have never used Furan2 before so had no idea - have to assume it dissolved in his mouth then - phew! Fluffy isn't eating - I sent you an email about it
  2. I'm not sure how to hold him and expose his mouth - he wriggles around all over the place. Anyway, I think he's swallowed it as he's eating again quite happily - I hope he doesn't have stomach problems later
  3. I treated the tank with furan 2 and some of the pills plastic coating fell in the tank, betta ate it up before I could retrieve it - now he can't eat and I'm scared he'll suffocate - how do I get it out??

    Plecos

Hmmm, interesting - the Gold Nugget is gone - as are the pair of L288s - wonder if someone read my post? Incidentally, what does the L and numbers mean?
  5. How exciting 1/2waysgood! :bounce: I recently purchased a male betta who had just recovered from tending to his brood - poor guy is probably glad of the break, I didn't know they worked so hard! Keep us posted on progress
  6. Oh lookie! It's Handsome! :bounce: I can't wait to see the babies - keep us updated with progress pics
  7. Beautiful fish chin, but are they all in glass jars or something? Look like quite small containers :-?
  8. Wow, that is amazing to hear - had no idea some fish would get so attached to each other. Sorry for your loss buddy

    New Addiction

  10. So.... how many tanks do you have altogether if you have moved 6 out and how big is your lounge? :-?

    To kill the cat

I'd never consider buying a tank/bowl without a cover because I have cats, and fish can jump - just common sense really. I had one killi who found ways out of the tank - twice he was found (in time) on the floor - cats never caused it and never found him so was definitely him on his own volition wanting to move One of my cats when I got my first tank - at first the cats were intrigued but they got bored of the fish pretty quickly. .....later when the tank was upgraded - this is cat 2 "sunbathing"
  13. David, what are those blue spiky plastic things in the first pic? I purchased a tank recently and it came with all sorts of stuff - much of which I don't know what it is - mine included green spiky things and I have no idea what they are or what they're for :-?
  14. Excellent! I'll buy some when I set up the tank. I'm off to get some silica sand today which I'm sure the kuhlis will love @ phoenix - yes I know re: the silver dollars. I wouldn't have got them if I'd known at the time they grew so big. I might have to sell them off eventually - shame as they're neat fish and mine are a light silvery colour (not grey, as some can be) and really sparkle in the light (as do my golden angels) - must be what I feed them
  15. I'm getting some silica sand from my pet shop today - they don't sell it but the fish specialist says he gets his from Lake Taupo and is bringing some in for me
  16. The old tank I broke is going to become a fabulous terrarium/hot house and grow fabulous tomatoes for me
  17. Not RPG but is a computer game: Tomb Raider fan here - not so much the games themselves, they started to go "off the beaten track" after TR 4, but custom levels are great to play - and use the old TR engine

    Hi Everyone :)

In fairness though, as Handsome is closer to the camera he looks bigger - but believe me, Fluffy is twice his body size! I'll try to get a better pic of the two of them before I re-tank them this weekend I think Handsome is great - fab personality and blowing some fabulous bubble nests. He's Cambodian right? White betta markings means they're Cambodian?
  19. I'm about to upsize my tank to one that 90cm long, 50cm high and about 40cm depth. I will have two medium sized silver dollars and two medium sized angels in it, plus 4 cories - will kuhli loaches go well with these types of fish?

    Hi Everyone :)

Hi all! thanks for the warm welcome! @ Cam, I have two males - would love to breed one day but not just yet Hi Jamie! Lovely to catch up with you - as you can see, I took your advice Handsome and Fluffy - oh boy! I wanted to see if Fluffy blew bubbles so moved Handsome out of guppy breeder and put Fluffy in - no bubbles Handsome was all over Fluffy in the guppy breeder (I sent you very bad pics, lol) and Fluffy just sat there. During the night, Fluffy somehow got out and was hiding from Handsome. Handsome would chase Fluffy and Fluffy would run - no flaring from Fluffy. I think he might be a very sad fish and I didn't realise this until I introduced him to his own species and he didn't behave accordingly - no aggression at all, in fact - he seemed quite intimidated. I put Handsome back in the guppy breeder to give Fluffy a break - I think the sooner I separate them, the better. I'll try to get some better pics once I have them set up in their own tanks this weekend
