I feel the same way too. I am very protective of my pets and I dont have any children but know I would be the same way, I would also be out for blood if any harm came to them or my own child. Reading that article made me feel so sick, how could any child do that. What I find even more alarming than the fact that a child has done this to an animal is the fact the parents seemingly allowed it to happen through lack of parenting, role modelling, respect all the above that people have mentioned. I do not have any children yet but when I do by god the first thing I will be teaching them is to respect life in all its forms and to never harm a living creature. What I never will understand is that despite classifying ourselves as the most intelligent animal on this planet, we still inflict pain and suffering on others, wheres the intelligence in those actions? Through humanity's greed and striving for wealth we have lost touch with what really matters, and because of that we shall be our own downfall unless something drastically changes for the better.

Im edgily looking at my tank now, I have an AR620 Aquaone Tank. Had it for nearly a year with no problems but all the same...Dead nervous and I'll be dead if it breaks lol.

Ive had that happen to my goldfish too, and I've always wondered what it was that caused it, never found out though! I found that a nice waterchange, salt, and stress coat picked the poor wee fishies right up again.

Hmmm some girls and I got talking in the disease forum (i know odd place to start talking) and we have become quite curious as to who are males and females, as names arent really that great to go on. I was kinda under the understanding that fish keeping seems to be a male dominated hobby, but I was suprised to find a few females that were into the fish keeping hobby, like myself, that I wasnt aware of before. SO this begs the question; Who here is male and who is female, Im quite excited to find out what the ratio is and getting to know when refering to someone whether to call them a he or she, also if you wanna stick extra information up that'll be cool, as I dont know many of you and would like to, and Im sure others may feel the same.
