2 of my lights in my AquaOne AR850 tanks lighthood have started to constantly flicker on and off when they are turned on and don't stop. One of the bulbs is brand new. Could It be a problem with the florescent starters? If so where can I buy replacements and how much do they cost? Thanks

I did think about it because the pet shop owner said that they don't get enough in and would buy them off me but it seems kind of wrong because there are often some at the spca.

We named her Sniffy.

Me and my dad have been working on this and we finished it today. It is multilevel 210cm long and 82cm wide. Today we bought our first female guinea pig and are planning on getting more soon as they prefer to be in groups. Does anyone with guinea pig experience know how many female guinea pigs I can have in this sized hutch? I do volunteer work at the local spca so I am planning to adopt from there when available. One of our members keeps orandas with bristlenoses and does not have any problems. I think her heaters are set to 20-22c

I used to have leopard fish but did not have much luck. I am going to get some more soon though. Very cool fish.

Him and his dad are building a very sturdy stand and i will make sure he puts poly down.

My friend bought a 300 litre aquarium off trademe and put it on an old bench which I had told him did not look sturdy enough even though his dad assured him it was. About a week later I got a phone call from him saying that the tank had bowed and that there was a crack running through the whole base of the tank. He transfered all his fish (2 GBA 6 cories 3 kuhlis 1 platy and 2 discus) into a 50 litre aquarium. I agreed to take the discus off his hands because I knew they were not going to survive for much longer in his care. Is he going to have to replace the whole bottom of the tank or is there some way he can fix it? Thanks.

Well They will probably be fine over summer and then I will take some more photos and see what everybody thinks they are then.

Is there any way I can help them survive outside (in a covered tank). They have been fine so far but I suspect that they would not do so well over winter. How important is UV light because the tank is in the shade? Thanks

If it makes any difference they are changing colour a lot. One was on a peice of wood and was brown the other was on a plant and was bright green. Later on both of them were dark green.

Will they survive in an outside tank in nelson? They have been ok so far.

I raised four of these from tadpoles and they are in a 150 litre aquarium outside with plants, rocks and wood. I know they are either green and golden bell frogs or southern bell frogs. They have just morphed.

The two inside ones have turned into frogs and I have moved them into a 4ft 150 litre aquarium outside with plants and wood etc.

Yeah I collected a whole heap. Some of them have already hatched. The photos are of eggs that are only a few days old.
