  1. I'd personally not bother with UV, it seems like a lot of money and work when you can get the same result with feeding, water changes and salt. What happened with your discus tank? You need to figure out why the fish are dying, and where the flukes came from. The fish need to be treated, otherwise no matter what kind of filtration you have, you'll continue to have the same problems.
  2. :-? I'd be careful forcing it, unless you've got over 10mm glass. Anything less than that might crack - I'd go slow and easy until it pops off - don't break the tank!!
  3. Karynjoy, I put a thing up in your T&E post too - I don't think it'd pull enough air to make much of a difference, you'd probably be better getting an airpump. Then you can make a pretty bubblewall

    mirror tint

Would it be ok being wet all the time? Would the fish freak out seeing themselves all the time?
  5. You 'll need to slice at it from either side (outside and underneither, inside the tank) until it comes lose.
  6. Careful you don't cut yourself....
  7. You can just use a sharp razor to get it off. You'll need to take it off, clean it up and put it back on again, otherwise you'll get bows in your tank.

    This or that

cardinal all the way. GBA or standard BN?
  9. Lots of people keep shrimp, especially overseas. Personally not my style, but lots of other people like them. They eat algae and stuff, they're very good tank cleaners.

    This or that

Lets bring this back... characins sand or small stones (as substrate)
  11. Have a look for some second hand ones. You'll probably be able to find an eheim 2215 for about that second hand. They're good filters.
  12. Really? What do you think it should be? I think all the teenagers in that era would have spent hours listening to it...I know I did
  13. It's worth giving it a go - maybe there's someone you can borrow a couple of angels from to see if it helps?
  14. I was going to do removable dividers with airline to seal around the edges, and as far as I could tell with all my testing, cutting a big hole out of the middle and putting flyscreen in the middle (silicone it on each side so you have 2 layers) works pretty well. Sorry, I don't have pics as the tank is now full of angelfish babies
  15. Can we have a pic of the puppy???
  16. Maybe they need more places to go in the tank where they can't see each other. I don't really see that adding more would help, wouldn't there just be more to exert dominance?
  17. Lots of schools have education copies, they might let you borrow the CD and put it on your comp. Or else, you could do what everyone else does and download it. It's probably so expensive because no one actually pays for it...
  18. Agh, my cat does that all the time!
  19. She's listed them again, and the picture of the '3 yr old Yellow spotted Pleco of about 10 cms long' is clearly a BN. I've been blacklisted, so can't leave nasty comments
  20. Remember, obedience school is more so you can learn how to train your dog, not so they can learn to be good. A dog is only as good as their owner, so as long as you're strict with them and treat them well, they usually turn out ok. Make sure you expose the puppy to children and other animals (easy, cuz you already have a dog!) early on, that way it's a normal thing for them. What kind of dog is it?? How old are they? You can start obedience training right from about 4 weeks old - just simple things like sit, stay, lay down. Try to start the training away from your other dog, that way they don't get distracted. Dogs can only recognize 2 syllable words consistently, so make sure your dogs name isn't long, and teach one word commands.
