wow that's quite a bit smaller lol..you could set up a real cool nano tank with some tetras and some bottom dwellers. I've just got one of those 38L tanks and im making mine into a nano siamese fighter display -
WOW that tank is awesome..bet that tank won't have snail problems lol. Wish my chain loaches would hurry up and grow so they can eat the bigger snails before they breed

Bearded dragons are cool - David is getting into them atm, he's even got a locust and mealworm breeding setup made, now he's just waiting to get his actual enclosure made THEN we'll be able to get our beardies! good luck on your fish hunting - if my fish don't go on TradeMe I can give you what's left of my livebearers since I'm breaking down the tank anyway. -

I've had my 6' tank set up for almost two months now and had no fatalities, I've recently added 10 cardinals and 6 glowlights and am adding two more Discus from the new imports by Tony Tan - should I dose my tank with a low dose med just to be safe? Can't afford to lose my tank occupants - spent almost a grand on stocking.

but big tiger lotus are expensive...some species of apono's grow to form a canopy (long stems with large thick leaves). I have currently some growing but not large enough in my Discus tank.

since I'm setting up a new nano tank for the fighters - would a ratio of 2 females : 1 male be alright? Or are the females also territorial too? It's a 38L nano, am going to fully plant the tank too once I get my hands on some white riversand.

wow all this talk has got me paranoid will it be detrimental for the fish if they didn't have anything but got treated by PP? I always get paranoid everytime I get new fish.

if you're experienced in fishkeeping definately recommend a south american display as Discus are gorgeous fish! But you should get at least 5 or 6 of them to grow out together... -
I dont have one as of yet, but hopefully in the next few weeks. Im trying to get every thing set up and ready before I get one. So im in pursuit of an awsome enclosure, and now a stand to go with it. Where did you get your stand from? How old is your beardy?

Wow, thats a nice set up. How did you do the rock like wall? Soo would a 1500mm enclosure be alright for two dragons?

I know you can purchase big bags from most plant stores. I think its about $10 for 10kg. Iv been told that pumice sand holds moisture quite well and slowly releases it (good for locust breeeding), however this mite mean that it could hold the dragons urine and start to smell over time.

There is alot of grass out on bush tracks that does not have any chemicals on it so i mite have a look out there. How long do locust live for? When do they typically mature?

whats a good daily diet for a beardy? Im about to start up a locust and meal worm culture before i get my bd. I also realise that vegetables should be included. Anything else i should be looking into?

haha its good they dont complain. I just didnt want to stuff up their cycle if i left the light on the whole time for their heat source. I was also thinking about hooking the light up to a thermastat to try and keep the temp around 30degrees. but that means their light will be going on and off all the time.

It looks really good. What plants are safe to put in the enclosure? Is the sand base in the enclosure harder to clean?

Do locust need a certain amount of light and dark? how do you maintain the temp around 30degrees in the enclosure?

Those are some nice terrariums bulldogod. Im looking at building something similar to the one in picture number 5. Building your own would be good too, but its just finding the time to do it haha. Does anyone know what a good size terrarium is for two full grown bd's? How much do baby dragons eat a day?

Is it best to take the egg container out and put in to a cooler tank? what temp to you keep your egg tank at?

I think the most common is sliding doors but im thinking of hinged doors as you can open it up easier which will hopefully make cleaning easier etc. I cant actually think of many other ways to design the doors. What size were you looking at for your tank?

im just about to start up a culture, which i have just bought a tank for. just wondering where you get laying media from? and do you have any tips on the best way to bred them?

Yea i was going to have one heat lamp suspended half way down the tank and the other fixed to the top with a high basking spot under it. Is it alright to put plants in the terrarium with the beardy? Does anyone have pictures of terriums they want to put up?
