if the said fish is still causing grievance, surely it can be returned? you wanted to buy cuckoos and you got something else thinking they were cuckoos - by no fault of yours. in this case im sure it can / will be refunded at the purchase price. (as long as you put it on your club card or still have the receipt).

im more worried, cause i dont know what will happen to them if there is too much lighting.

does it look beaten up? liek raggedy fins, and the lille side fins look like stumps, or are getting to that stage... sometimes angels can be harsh. does the other angel go all rigid and stiff and jab at this angel? if so then its probably not a disease, just been beaten up. salt will help. you dont need to put a heap in, just a bit to stimulate the growth of slime coat will do. that and stress coat helps. aloe vera gelly is good too. a pic would help, because if by some remote chance, it is a disease id feel very bad about giving wrong / inappropriate advice based on the context.

i was asking ryan if he wanted some cause he is close-ish to p-north. i was in akl in dec and saw some large, stunning specimens at the animates in glenfield (jansens). im kicking my self for not getting them. HFF in albany also had some -good stock as always. so im going to see if i can get some from the same supplier, once i can track them down. neutral to slightly acidic pH is perfect. they breed pretty well and are quite strong so you can make minute adjustments to see what yours like best. my tank is always a steady pH 6, so if i get 2 they will have to be happy in that :lol: But if no one asks questions, we will have no forum

if i find some nice ones do you want a pair too? they breed pretty easily and are almost always excellent parents; and there are a few really good ones lurking about in chch and new plymouth.
