    Whitespot

goldfish are fine with salt (in limited quantities that is). if you use white spot cure, do water changes - it will not "stress" the fish. it will help them. you can choose not to do a WC for up to 2 days after putting the treatment in. just be aware that it is better to do them. after that you will NEED to do a water change, and add more of the treatment in. PS - remove any carbon in your tank, and continue your treatment even after all visible signs of white spot have vanished. Hope this helps your fish!
  2. so where do you get your lumiflor's from?
  3. :bounce: sheer brilliance as always! Thanks alan, Ill see how this light affects growth, before and after the addition of extra red spectrum light.
  4. the plants in your tanks look awesome... i presume that with the powerglos?
  5. but it must be pettable! I wants to pet it!!! powerful legs with a good set of claws? I'm willing to risk it... if you had it since an egg, would it be friendlier? More pics please! :bounce:

  12. actually before you try that. please read this: http://www.malawicichlidhomepage.com/aq ... oxide.html http://www.malawicichlidhomepage.com/aq ... xide2.html
  13. ah. try hydrogen peroxide. flourish also works. peroxide should do the trick better though. i think whetu was on the money with guessing what it was
  14. I've seen clowns doing stuff like this - particularly when the tank is nice and long, and has a good current... but course that didn't lead to a spawn... interesting to see it caught on film though. ask r32gotmilk (spelling??? ) if he knows of any thing like this cause he has a mere 50 clowns in the same tank!  (I have a clown called mr.wiggles (i did not name him) and he likes his head being scratched ) so there is definitely a lot of CL's that do weird things. :bounce:
  15. yes... algae needs to ID'd correctly so you can do the right thing to get rid of it. I'd check for phosphates in the the water, and if its high, you just need to remove it, and the algae should reduce very quickly. is the algae like a sheet that grows on top of plants, ornaments etc? its very thin, but almost carpet like?
  16. yeah. I do like my plecos and catfish. perhaps ill have to get some more. ill let this one settle in first. she hides away and I can never see her =(
  17. did she look gravid? does she look thinner now? is there a breeding tube? all these questions! :bounce:
  18. I wouldnt mind a few more. but they can be expensive right?
  19. Nano's ROCK!!!! lots of fun to set up!!!! :bounce: :bounce: make a setup log!
  20. thanks suphew. sigh.. sometimes i wish i could buy a lille bit of the sun.
  21. sorry it wasn't clear. the IN is the water going to the filter. the OUT is the water going out from the filter. (I did that cause the filter has labels on it). reason why i have the filter OUT so high is so that i have lots of water flow which my fish like.
  22. L134 it is then. Not candy stripe, but Leopard Frog. Many thanks pleco experts
