  1. Put it on your side of the bed  you probably won't be sleeping there for the next couple of days ha ha
  2. who wants to add up the totals? I'm presently doing an option trading strategy assignment, and hating it. but i suppose i could take a break from fnzas... i mean study and make another graph. eventually
  3. I don't know how long it takes. they always die in my tanks
  4. more often than not yes. bigger better than smaller, lol
  5. yes, he might get that big, and so he wouldn't be thrilled in a 34L tank. I can't keep them alive to save my own - but I can't imagine why people would be against them.
  6. Nice :bounce: I love the way you make use of "stuff" that is lying around / commonly and cheaply available to make great enclosures. Very Nice
  7. :bounce: :bounce: ROFL LOL bahahhaa
  8. ok. so me thinks that you should read these two articles from start to end  http://www.plantedtank.net/articles/DIY-Yeast-CO2/7/ http://www.thekrib.com/Plants/CO2/co2-narten.html From memory the ratio is 2 cups sugar to 1/2(half) tsp yeast. I use the activated yeast (edmonds). I don't use baking soda or the equivalent - that mainly makes sure the reaction does not occur toooo fast, thus spilling in your tank. Hope this helps.
  9. take the CO2 out then
  10. ok so what is the size of the tank? how fast exactly are the bubbles coming out? oh and CO2 needs very little water surface agitation so it can diffuse into the water (time is usually what it needs_that;s why i run mine through one of my filters). I am unsure if it will work as well if it is injected into the tank via a powerhead. Perhaps someone with more expertise here can help.
  11. oh. you haven't attached the pipe directly to the powerhead have you? may be an idea to put attach it to your cannister filter intake - its what I do.
  12. looks like you added too much yeast. try lowering the DIY CO2 container, under the tank level.

    Hello

    welcome! :bounce:
  14. Welcome to the forums Bobi J. perhaps try posting what you need in the private trade and exchange section, and you will get more responses. Also why not introduce yourself in the welcome section, so we can know more about your setups! :bounce:
  15. It's a lot of reading to do, but well worth it. http://www.plantedtank.net/forums/tank-journals-photo-album/34634-behemoth-1600-gallon-planted-tank.html
  16. the 18000K tubes are pink-ish and very bright.
  17. what? you are choosing a small tank over a large one? why? keep the big one and keep it low stocked.
  18.   Sorry, as wonderfully happy as recommending an expensive internal filter would make most pet shop employees happy; you know I cannot do that, lol. No internal, no matter how wonderful the product may sound will ever be as good as a comparable external filter. But if you really want a good internal: then you will need at least 2 Fluval U4 - these are massive for internals and are rated at a max of 240L from memory. or the equivalent.
  19. Argument is over though RITE. notice clever positioning of the fullstop instead of the usual question mark  so with the different coloured Leopard geckos - are they just different morphs from same parents or have they been bred to select for those traits?
  20. they are so expensive - that you are definitely better off getting a cannister filter cheaply. internal filters can cost upto and over $200.00 in some cases!
  21. OMG a genetic argument that i was not actually part of! how could you? I feel left out. hahahahahaha
  22. i dont really care what they are as long as they look as nice as they do. :bounce: the whole pure thing doesn't do it for me(years of bilology and genetic classes etc, plus family FULL of doctors, its all I get to hear about). what ever they are, they are awesome, and if they did breed I WANT a baby, lol. :bounce: if its going into a display setup its fine. as long as every other tom, dick and harry out there doesn't sit ruining all the fish strains we have here (almost impossible mind you) oh almost forgot - now that ive opened my mouth to change feet, i must stay well clear of this topic, lol
  23. well I hope they breed like rats! :bounce: :bounce: fingers crossed for you!
