  2. LOL what stir. I've done waaaaayyy worse, hahahahha  go in on the weekend, you may be surprised
  3. they are both pretty slim. can you get some more pics? particularly of any spiny things like hairs on the fins and body, head etc. last resort - vent sex them but its not so easy. now where is mr. pleco?
  4. ive worked at the palmy store for over 3 years on and off now, and never once have seen that happen; nor do I expect to see that happening in the future. I used to have a lot to do with the aquatic section, but now have taken a more casual role so i can continue my studies and work at the bank as well. Any how, I usually separate my roles as a member on this forum, with my duties as part of my job - but am happy to let those who want to know of any thing interesting in the way of discounts that are about to take place. I've also been known to get some cool fish in from time to time ahhahahhaa  but yes, I don't know about the legalities, but I can't see that happening, as pricing of the tanks is a nationwide thing, and only some tanks that need to be removed from the store if the manager deems fit, may have pricing discretions. eg- there is a very high tank in the palmy animates that used to cost $1800 but the manager and I decided $400 and we want it out - it has been used and is in second-hand condition. that's pretty much when you can change prices, but inflating prices has not been seen by me.
  5. lol. turns out even androids can make mistakes
  6. I did make a mistake. Ill correct it and highlight it above.
  7. That's 500mL of water, pMDD mix. 2 drops is 0.05mL * 2 = 0.0001L for every 2 drops. so you have .5L so -> .5/0.0001= 5000 drops 2 drops a day, 5000 drops = 2500 days. ive had one hell of a day so if ive made a mistake let me know.
  8. sure. i work there among other places. occasionally.... sometimes....
  9. Im sorry, but that is absolutely impossible. what tank were you looking at, where did you see the price? (on the bar code or a sheet or paper advertising the tank?).
  10. checked to see if the ceramic rod is broken?
  11. do we just? LOL thanks for that info, must buy me a kit for the sake of it then. API is pretty good.

    Fighter Pics

I didn't use the word lightly traffic light decided he would rather live on as a carpet fish. pedro probably died of old age (2 years). voldemort got dropsy cause he was a hog and used to steal an entire cube of blood worms. phoenix got dropsy too, but i used to drain the fluid / air or what ever it was with an injection and he lived for 2 months with it, and then finally i decided that was no life for him to lead.
  16. if that tank was bigger, you would need a pair of nandus nandus's in there! whoa, that is an amazing piece of wood! imagine it all green with algae swishing in the water current.

  18. you didn't just put the new bird in did you?
  19. call em shadow. the 2 birds will probably start hanging out soonish, and if not there shall be all out war.
  20. soon he will be coughing right back at you. literally
  21. ah. good point, but that was 48W of High output T5 lighting.
  22. if you can get someone to lend you another one of those inlets for a day or two - you can take yours off, dry it, put silicone on it, and sprinkle sand or something like that on it. I did it for a customers tank, and he was thrilled. it had an awesome layered look, and looked awesome. As for the green basket thing, well - maybe that can be covered with a plant, or better still put it lower to the ground so it cant be seen. PS- if you bought a fluval there would be no bright green filter parts in the tank ha haahhahahahha
  23. beaches have fine sand. particularly new plymouth. Takapuna in AKL has fine sand as well.
  24. hope its not the flu. lori's can get the bugs off humans unfortunately. not too sure why he would be afraid of you; only thing i can think of is he may not like the change in voice (if you have a blocked nose or something like that). PS - hope you get better
