  5. LOL. we are both security cleared for the ports and staying on board the ship  its just if dad and i stay in a hotel or something I dont want to have to leave him all alone, and I really dont want him panicking on the ship. too much room for error with all that water, and heavy machinery and stuff. he is safer staying here with his arch enemy the blue ringneck treo. really? what about the off topic forum?
  6. yes but on sunday i leave all alone without poor rusty for the port of tauranga and then AKL and then who knows where. then after 10 days without precious bird, i shall be back.

  9. hey simian, those are definitely not the flathead gold nuggets that are on the list. i too got a flathead a wee while ago. definitely NOT what you have. this is the prob re. ID'ing plecos. wish all wholesalers would use an L number, that would make life slightly easier. This is what I got as a flathead
  10. dragging this up.... available here now.
  11. I will interpret this is a few days once the mad weekend is over. i am far too tired today. but basically - use dechlorinator, and happy fishing. these values need a concentration value. either mol/L or ppm or % or something like that.
  12. almost released 100 neons in a tank with salvinis, borneo tigers, blue acaras and a chocolate cichlid today
  13. hello and welcome. now i hate to do this to you, but your swords and flagfish (killies) are tropical fish. so are your danios but are pretty hardy. also all those fish in a 22L tank, is too many fish. stick with the mountain minnows. the white spots are a parasite called ich. you will find PLENTy of info here and on the net on how to get rid of it. I use salt and wunder tonic. it was probably caused cause the swordtails came from tropical water and then went into a coldwater tank... not so good for them, stressed them out, compromised the immune system and BAM you have ich. if you clean your filter, and I presume it's an internal filter, (let us know what sort) wash the sponge out in the same water as your tank, and replace it. HTH
  14.  I like thinking of the genetics. all albino? wow. very very interesting... Still prefer the blues, greens, checkerboards and browns but these are nice too
  15. looks like what happens when a fish gets sucked up a filter outlet. gutted m8.
