  1. where the hell do you get off attacking someone because of where he works?
  2. I have never used meth blue that stained silicone. you only need a little bit. the correct dosage turns the water light blue, and you should be able to see the rear wall of the tank clearly.
  3. Lots of people advertise things for sale on here that are not fish-related. As long as your decoders have not fallen out the back of a truck its all good
  4. airstone and meth blue. regular water top ups.

    Scarlet pleco

    Those I think were L114.

    Scarlet pleco

L24 is smaller. L25 is bigger, and ive seen them for sale here. The last time I ordered a scarlet pleco in, i got this very weird looking pleco with massively long fin extensions. I haven't been able to find pics of that fish online to ID, but L275 is a possibility. havent seen that fish in over 2 years though, and I have no idea who bought it.

    Scarlet pleco

they cost $200, so anything under $190 is a relative bargain. They get big, but how big is your largest tank. and which scarlet do you mean? as with most plecos there has been a bit of name calling with this species too. henward has / had one. I like the tails on them, all fire like and long.
  8. oh nice one! that's going to make a mean setup! will you put those brown haps in there too?
  9. yeah. against the rear wall of the tank or a gravel mound.
  10. wooden caves in driftwood are good, but those round ceramic cave ornaments are probably better.
  11. yeah, the feather fin should fine with it. they are pretty good fish. some eat like pigs, but are not overly aggressive. they eat pellets and meat.
  12. you need wood in your tank, some caves (round ones) and lots of oxygen in the water, and water movement. presto clown plecos are bred.
  13. ah sweet. got a little confused there.. I would love the 204's but then would definitely need a separate tank, and im not setting up another 4 footer. I'd actually be more tempted to get the clowns and breed them, but that means another tank too. gah... not happening.

    Hi Ya'll

welcome back. my lorikeet enjoys chasing your bug
  15. female! I think. well it looks like it. and gravid at that.
  16. so were they flash's or clowns? how much were they?
  17. naah, they're about as easy to put back in as they are to take out..
  18. it disappears in time, but now i have that staghorn algae thing again and that's not easy to get rid of. i cant see the tank for the next few days but hopefully it will be gone when i get back. As far as cleaning goes there is plenty filtration on this tank as it is pretty heavily stocked, and has a lot of plant matter. 2 x fluval 405's and 1 x eheim 2028. I do regular water changes but also have this fancy Eheim gravel vacuum cleaning thing that sucks up and holds all the solid gunk. its impossible for me to even get near the plant roots but sometimes when I know it gets overly gunky i shove the plants aside and try getting in. apart from that, its all good but is admittedly a pain to properly gravel vac, cause there is always the risk of sucking up the JBL balls.
  19. Thanks, I did a trim on the plants and chucked a lot of the off cuts away and its still got a dense layer of plants at the back wall
  20. wpg does not apply to any modern light. watt is a unit of electrical consumption not light emission. you should be able to grow any green plant under there, including tiger lotus.
  21. yeah, if asked for it yesterday, and now apparently he wants all stores to do it.
  22. all good man; 10,000 arrive next week, and kai is sending me like 400 or so. should last a few months.
  23. you don't have to. we help where we can, but bumping will only mean that we read bump and then flick away as nothing new has been said
