I am about to leave for New Plymouth in like 40 mins or when rusty decides he has pooped enough for 1 day.
But boy do the locals have a treat when they come in next weekend! fancy pleco and catfish galore!
not going back to akl, moved from the shore 4 years ago, naah, not going back there unless i get a 7 figure pay packet at minimum. i will also need my own island cause i dislike driving with the vehicularly challenged folk.
ahhahaha. i special ordered it for myself.
you know what its like... fish comes in, every one goes wow that's pretty - no one buy's it. then i buy it.
this way i just cut the line and bit the bullet.
but those new royals have my name written all over them
the colours on this fish are nice, but the shape is a tad off. discus are supposed to be round. it's fixable given time and good food.
their bellies are supposed to be full, and not concave like this one, which indicates that it either has not been eating or has been neglected for a while.
If the gill plates on the fish were protruding outwards I would not have bought the fish cause it would have been more hassle than it is worth.
no, lol. Ive worked here for 4 years now part of the furniture , plus i enjoy it waaayyy too much to leave. all fish and plants are buy one get one free then.
thanks. :bounce: I was more happy at the fact that there are almost 700 plants in the tanks. that's more than any other place in the country.
you guys know where to come last weekend of this month!
so as far as whiptails go i have 2 lancelotas, 2 red whiptails, soon to get 2 royals, then 2 more reds.
cannot afford the price tag on the pinocchio / long nose farowellas.
i metroed them cause someone sent me some in the mail, and i got them, and i put 2 and 2 together. that and im expecting some discus later on and didn't want to risk any thing.
did not see them eat before buying, just saw em, picked em up.
oh ive been good recently, 20% everyday. discus were in a bb tank with metro for 5 days before they went in my tank. that bb tank got 50% everyday.
theyve only been in this tank since last nite and already experienced 2 water changes ha ahaahhaa
bloodworms not working, nor colourbits.
they will learn.
I would have been silly not to take these. The price that they were offered to me at was about as good as giving them away to me for nothing. I was a little apprehensive about putting them in my tank before getting ron's discus, but i honestly could not go away without giving them a good home.
lol. watch this space hahaha.
flosty - they were sold as green turquoise's. they also do not like eating and do not know what to do with the colourbits so its a little hard love really.
that's exactly what I thought. Luckily its been wormed and that may change now that i can feed it well.
That's why I said *facepalm in my last post
yeap. that sounds about right.
mine shout out 3 shoots. 1 of them was a flower shoot that got burnt and the other 2 are runners. the plant gets massive.
