  1. it is red pine, though some will argue that it is rotala wallichii; and some will argue they are both the same plant. the green one is indian fern.
  2. yes, that is the one. forgot its name  :bounce:
  3. I think its the same one that goes black in the tank when submersed.
  4. hey flatfish, how easy are these to breed? there is one magnificent male (hairy as hell!!!) here in palmy and possibly another male, but if females are available i wouldn't mind getting a few.
  5. L numbers are a "name" assigned to a fish before it is officially classified. once its classified the L number is dropped. It gives us a fixed name as such because there are sooo many common names. some of them are just creative genius. some fish have more than 1 L number.
  6. It rained today, plants seem happy as. no dried up leaves. flower stalk on the red sword thing.
  7. Thanks! The music is epic! It builds suspense, almost like there is something that will jump out of the screen. I bet you would have been surprised if an L46 popped its head out and ate some prawn
  8. Ain't he pretty? My collection expands.
  9. yeap. my biggest female is a bit bigger than your male, and this was my biggest male over 18cm
  10. they multiply too fast. you will see more snails in your tank than you will fish, or even glass for that matter. they dig under the plants. live in the filter, clog the filter up, breed in it, and are a general pain in the you know what. they are also ugly.
  11. I can save you the hassle now and tell you to stay clear of trumpet snails. bristle nose babies are good at algae eating, as are golden algae eaters and for the filamentous algae - SAE's and flying fox's.
  12. really now? i am so happy hahaaaa
  13. oh. then get something huge. budget dependent of course.
  14. oh, did that rule change when the forums upgraded? it is very confusing  half the time I don't know what is actually going on deetrav.
  15. they are beautiful. if those are the checkerboards, I am in for a treat!
  16. I know about your plant  It died because of an overdose of excel. leave the roots in, but you may need to get some more plants too.
  17. man this is getting confusing  . no wonder only 1 person is supposed to use a single account.
  18. apple snails, but they will eat plants like crypts
  19. yeap, fat cat that left hair where ever it went has gone. i sorta miss him cause he just sat there sleeping all day. quite useless really.

  21. So this is what I just figured I'd do, as I had some extra congo fern and this red sword plant thing. Used an extra poly box and filled some water in it. Put some flourish comprehensive in the water and in the rock wool that the plants are in. Plant gets dunked in the water. Gladwrap time Will it work? I don't see the whole point of it, but I was bored and need to do something when I'm bored. maybe ill get a flower or 2.
  22. that's because the recipient has not read the pm. when he/she does it will vanish from the outbox and go to the sent folder.
