  1. I've been feeding my fish this high protein food for the best of 2-3 days now. I put it in a syringe, add some water and let it soak. Then i inject it in the tank. the pellets are small and an absolute pain in the you know what. But it is so worth it! My discus love it when its pre soaked and it sinks! the cories are feasting on it too! This morning my brochis splendis spawned. As I speak my steel blues are laying eggs and the dwarf flag cichlids are spawning too! The discus have fat little bellies for the first time in weeks and the clown loaches are turning every stone in the tank trying to get it! LOL The food would be perfect for little discus.
  2. Aint that a miracle
  3. give it time haha. it'll grow. i started off with only about 12 plants or so. I'm currently growing some for a member at the moment.
  4. It looks like sag. microfolia. same as in my tank but my tank is not as high as Adodge's. perhaps that's why it looks out of proportion in mine.
  5. They get fat and lazy after a while. Just like Fat _____. her surname may not be repeated on a family forum - she is that useless.
  6. The flower will usually be outside the water. it is of next to no use under the water.
  7. These guys are pretty awesome. they are yellow when they are really little, and sort of look like cories with long whiskers. I have 3 of them now including fat ____ who is 3.5 years old now if not older. Best clean up, vacuum cleaner crew ever. there will never be a morsel of food that gets wasted.
  8. no i meant just enough to do one water change. like a 60L drum or something.
  9. do the same, but this time store the water in a drum overnight, before you use it.
  10. yeah it flowers. lets out a shoot and you get flowers. different species of the plant have different flowers.
  11. how old is the water conditioner? A by product of the chemical reaction that takes place to remove chlorine from water is Ammonia. That is why dechlorinators have an extra ingredient in it to remove that ammonia or neutralise it. what is the other water conditioner you are adding with prime? with prime you need 5mL prime to 200L of water - that dose can easily be doubled or tripled.
  12. wow. they are nice! I haven't seen them before. like little mirrors
  13. and I have seen the exact opposite over and over again. darker substrate = better colour
  14. wait for the plants I am sending you! they will grow like weeds. Ive sent you a few more than I actually told you about  i would put more wood in the tank. just plonk some pieces where the foreground plant starts towards the centre of the tank. don't put your hand there?
  15. if you want your fish to look good, get a dark substrate not a light one.
  16. if your powerglo is pink, it is over 9months old. new; they are very purpely but do not make your tank look either pink nor purple.
  17. This is the perfect "click my signature line" moment.
  18. Thanks sam! Definitely my favourite plant in this tank! (not including the madagascariensis that is)
  19. eww! gross! you're kidding eh?
  20. It is a specifically formulated tube that peaks at the red and blue wavelength. so yes, high CRI.
