i don't see what slime coat production has to do with appetite in the most direct method any way. PM ron - discusguru and ask him what he thinks. yes, metro from the vet. i think someone bought liquid metro from HFF? If you can borrow a UV filter that would work to a certain extent for some things.

You can get it relatively easily. There is the giant species that is nationally banned - that is the stuff found in the wanganui river. There is also another type that does not get quite as large, and that is sometimes seen in fish shops. I used to see a lot of it in auckland being sold as valisennaria.

OMG hahha ADA diffusers, I know a few wholesalers in Japan and they are astronomically priced. Think NZD $100+ and they are not suitable for DIY systems. And those are the wholesale prices.

What he means is some of the plants you have mentioned are illegal. Possessing those plants could earn you a hefty fine and jail time but; given the shambles our criminal justice system is in, you might get a smack on the hand. PS - Caryl, 200K = 200,000

it wont eat pellet foods. try bloodworms. 50% wc everyday.

you're halfway there with sea. the second half is quite easy if you think about it.

you have neglected the use of chloramines in water. there are many many other nitrogenous compounds in our water. http://www.drinkingwater.co.nz/mohlabs/ ... bytest.asp for a list of what you may find in water and in what conc.

Water change today... again. Most convenient system ever. Water out the window- mmmmm paladarium Water in from outdoor hose connected to eheim J tube. Finally when its nice and full to the top, we add salt. lots and lots of salt. Then I wait for the cories and clown loaches to come and play in the salt :lol: ___________________Fin__________________ -
jeez. mine is as placid as it gets. she didn't even eat tiny baby dems and e.yellows as they swam around her.

you just need a tank, heater and metro. and water.
