  1. lol yeh, well turns out shes actually a he... the pics I had before I got him looked so much like a female and the woman at the reptile store in TA thought the same. But when you see him in real life hes a he. Lovely boy and gets on with the other one so no biggy. So still on the look out for a female lol
  2. Indeed my thoughts exactly, and they are sitting nicely in their tank together. He def keen on getting ontop of (her?) but as for mating I thought they would have to go linked up and okward, rather than bang bang... I have raised him well lol
  3. had them out the other day and looked like joef mounted (new one) god I hope its a female for feofs sake hahaha The pics I got of it when I was buying looked def female but its hard to tell with them ay. Will take to Reptilz on Sat and see what they think

  6. This is a pic of my new bearded dragon, hoping someone could advise on sex just so I can be sure. Put in with my male and was submissive and all going well. It started head bobbing today and acting a bit ‘male like’ lol. http://i714.photobucket.com/albums/ww14 ... C01981.jpg Sorry about pic quality, any insight would be great
  7. so this one http://www.trademe.co.nz/Home-living/Pets-animals/Birds/Other/auction-276605569.htm would not be appropriate since there is no option for humidity then... I have put a listing in the sale and exchange to see if anyone has an old incubator they might want to sell
  8. Brood size will be related to the parents size or genetics. Mine breed around once per month (some due to hatch tomorrow infact lol). Nah they wont eat the eggs, an egg came out of the cave when I cleaned them out two days ago and it is still there this morning (developing!) with 4 adult females and around 80 one month olds in there lol. Crazy!
  9. and I was under the impression that the dragon eggs needed humidity (50%)?...
  10. with the same incubator that repto recomended, would the fan unit be better for circulating air?
  11. I had no idea you could get one for that price... that would be a happy investment for me. Are they still for sale? I have seen the 650 like insect direct said, but I will have a pair of beardies, BUT not positive they will breed/lay so I think its different from feeding lol. would be good to have one in the event it does actualy happen tho, if you get my drift
  12. Has anyone had any success at making an incubator for bearded dragons? If so could instructions please be posted here so we can all see how to do this. Myself and a friend are both wanting to breed them, however incuvbators are expensive (as you well know). Any help would be great to get new breeders started. Thanks guys

  15. My GBA offspring are around two weeks now and groing and eating well. They are still in their big floating tank with around 80 in there. Three of them came out brown (I thought it was just a throw back common BN) but he/she has def got some cool gold stripz going on. Hoping they come out to be something cool, def not the same as my preveouse commons. Anyone else had anything simmilar?

  21. I have had this before and my boy died, but have heard of others that have treated them. Try lay odd the veg and feed the pleco tablets. I think it was the zukini that bloted a tank of babies. within a week taking them off it and feeding the special pellets they were sweet again, nice water change as well to reduce nitrogen
