  1. That sand looks gud, when you've had it in the tank for a while the algae growth sorts it out im not going to get any poly or anything until i know how big my new tank is going to be just in case i don't get enough.
  2. I would say straight away and 8-12 hrs of light a day
  3. Looking gud Remember to think about the sand you use and how much you use over the resin because it will change the colour of the background slightly also. I need to get some more poly and make another one 8)
  4. Thanks everyone for the comments yea the clowns are very happy in there and school occasionally and fun to watch.
  5. Here is a video of the mass of cichlids when ive feed them if anyone wants to watch...? I can sit there and watch them for ages 60 seconds It should only take a few seconds to buffer for faster internet users 8)
  6. I wonder why that is....?
  7. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Hope you've had an awesome day
  8. Yes i have tried these, they have the smallest bubbles out of all the airstones i have. but still not small enough
  9. micro bubble mist, way smaller than 1mm is what im after. Ive read on other sites that ceramic and wooden airstones give this affect.

    3 foot tank

sorry a bit off topic but i was just wondering something... ...in the stunning planted tanks that you see pictures of in competitions, how do they keep the white sand nice and clean and bright. you always see the sand algae free and clean, do they clean it before photos are taken or is it just well maintained?
  11. I agree with everything above. Bigger tank would help and more rocks
  12. From my experience, snow whites are quite aggressive towards other fish and because yours is one of the biggest, im gonna guess it would be him. Ive recently added snow whites to one of my tanks and all fish are 2x - 3x bigger than them. And the snow whites are constantly harassing the other bigger fish.
  13. you can't, not yet anyway and ask caryl, she will hook you up
  14. Looks great angela Dems look like they are doing good too. Where did you get your substrate from? looks same as mine. yea it def looks like it needs more fish in there.
  15. Don't worry about it if its too much trouble. ill keep looking.

  17. lol ive just been looking on ebay. RENA mirco bubbler is suposed to give you the mist/ cloud of bubbles. its a ceramic airstone. Anyone know if these are available anywhere in NZ?
  18. Ive just brought one... ...and it does the exact same thing as the airline with pin holes in it, And the bubbles are bigger than one of the bigger air stones i have so another dead end for what im after.
  19. maybe your lighting is too much, with a lot of light you will get a bit of algae.algae eaters can help to clean it up for you
  20. Im really just after a column of bubbles going from the bottom of the tank to the top and not so much floating around the tank.
  21. im not sure if it will if its like the other bubble walls but i might try it neway. What about a Co2 diffuser? would that for hooked up to an air pump? Has anyone got a diffuser they could test for me?
  22. Thanks scottie, i think i seen some of these at my lfs. ive tried aqua one bubble walls but mite try these and see how it goes.
  23. lol no i just want a fine mist of bubbles going from the bottom of my tank to the surface as i like the look of it
