hi, i just start my first planted tank with glosso, indian fem..etc......how many days after first planted i should start the co2 system? and how many hr of lighting i should turn on now?

thx for reply.......... unfortunately, it require a lot of light which worry me to heat up the tank so much...(i planned to have tank with shrimps.) any other species looks similar but do not require heaps of light?

hi, i need to go oversea for 2 and half month at the end of yr.......anything i can keep my fish servive without asking ppl loook after it?(cos i dont have friend who know how to do it)or any local fish store (auckland area) can look after it for small cost? i have 38l tank (aqya one 380) with around 30 fish inside (5 guppies, 10 neaon, 3 cory, 6 loach (forgot the name, but look like snake which is around 4cm long)..etc,,,,,,,,,will they be ok if i buy the automatic feeder machine??????but the thing i worry is no one change water for them, i worry they will die........... or should i buy a 90l plastic container from warehouse, put and air pump in and use the automatic feeder? any chance they will servive??? thx

hi, tonite i saw one of my fish not that well..so, i check the Ph value of my tank...it show up 6 anything will make the Ph drop suddenly ..... i change 20% water 3 days ago and i check my Ph is 7.....yesterday i check it again and it's 7...but tonite it just drop to 6..and i check it again and it still 6...so, i added some Ph up to the tank anything will casue this situation?cos it's the second time already.....last time i have same situation, but the next morning i check the Ph again....it suddenly go high like 7.4....and i m sure the reading is good as everytime if the reading is not 7...i will do the test again to make sure the reading is right.... and both time happened at night i have plants (but not that much), fish and wood in my tank.......anything in my tank will make this problem? thx

hi, my fish is sick last week so i give them 4 days treatment with the furan-2......now the treatment is done and the fish is ok now....but how i can remove the greenish water? i follow the instruction and do 25% water change and put some carbon inside....but the water didnt go clear... by the way, i dont know if i buy the right carbon..i buy it from the pet shop and it's car fish carbon...the keeper said this is right......when i first put it into water.......many gas come out from the carbon (like the coke or like some reaction in the lab)...do i get the right one?? THX

i just put all of my old water + new water into my tank... by the way, i have 17 fishes there....but all of them are very small..guppies, etc...nothing longer than 3cm........cos whewn i have my tank, the pet shop ppl said it should be ok for that no. of fish......but not sure

yes...........how can i remove ammo lock from my tank from now? just remove it bit by bit during water change?

yes....they are happy.....this morning i found that some of them try to jump on top of water...i suspect it's leak of oxygen as ar380 is a tall tank...i went to the local pet shop to buy the test kit and get a external pump for them...they all happy..... but when i back home from dinner tonite....i found that my heater have problem...now, try to put some hot water bottle for them for tonite\

i have changed from a 18l tank (3 month old )to a 34l one.......i use old gravel/filter and put into my new tank. since, i don't have enough room to run 2 tank at the same time...so, i just put my old fish striaight into new tank\ and today i get the test kit from store and the test result is following ph 7.2 ammonia 0.5ppm nitrate 10ppm nitrite 0ppm i do use "ammo lock" and "stable" when i setup the tank until yesterday i read this forum and found that it's actually not a good product so, since the ammonia and nitrate is high....should i do a 30% water change daily until it back to zreo?? thx
