  1. So where are you getting the frogs from?
  2. I had 2 female dwarf puffers in a 250l with some danios and corys with a few plants, not heavily planted with no problems. Well none till the earthquake that broke that tank. I lost one of the puffers then but the other is now living in another planted 250l with CPD's and small rainbows of all sizes. She has not bit anyone so far but I'm not holding my breath once all the snails are gone. Not that I think they would bite to feed rather just bite due to being hungry angry. I would like to get her back into another tank as she struggles to get any worms away from the Furcata rainbows they are fat guts

    Shrimp

I see heaps when trout fishing out the Ashley after dark. I have a few in my tank some died in the first week others are still fine. They are very interesting to watch.
  4. Looks mint man. I'm all envious.
  5. I can't smell very well with all the dust up my nose. But did not notice it tonight. I hate the dust :an!gry
  6. I done a water change on all tanks last week. All the big tanks went well but I lost about 12 furcata rainbow fry from there small tank over night. I changed about 30-40% of the tank water in there tank as it is so small. The larger tanks got more water but would be less of a % change. I don't smell or taste any change in our water and just put my loss down to being reckless with cold water and fragile little fish. I live in Sydenham.
  7. Good luck with this Tim. Can you keep us informed as to how it goes?I was told little dishes with moss in them was the way to go so once eggs are laid the moss and dish are removed. I have 2 dwarf puffers in a 250l and can't find anymore.
  8. Very cool thanks for posting.
  9. +1 but my fish are pretty small
  10. Looks good man. My tank is over due for a prune so have some stems if you want them. nice wood
  11. I put a few drops in with the rainbow eggs to stop fungus. Damn a litre would last forever.
  12. Any one keeping Scarlet Badis now? I just picked one up. It's reminds me of an mbuna like an electric yellow only it's smaller then my CPD.
  13. Nice work paul_r good to see two entire animals and not just two hind ends.
  14. Nice work. I have a few CPD fry at the mo but not 17 ...not yet.
  15. I care about my hobby. I just cant understand why no body pulled this prat on why he is so stuck up. He made reference to some club members being the lowest common denominators. Whats wrong with me I'm not the one looking down on people for not being wise to scientific names yet still making an effort to expand there hobby. Everyone has to start somewhere, Some just don't get as far but they still have a right not to be classed as lowest common denominator. That's not called for.
  16. Well those members have paid some of the money you talk of spending. So they are ok in my book.
  17. David you sound like a prize prat. I hope you do drop of the forum and I don't care how skilled at fish keeping you think you are. You have your head up your arse with an opinion of the club members like that. The club that runs the forum that you have made how many posts on what 3000+? Seem like you like to stir, take and pay nothing. Screw anyone giving you anytime. Go hide in your fish room and look at fish on the internet and send emails to other prats that way you wont have to go outside and mix with the people of society or as you may see them lowest common denominators. How about a 1000 post limit for non financial members.
  18. Join FNZAS ya tight buggers. It's not just about the meetings and I'm sure you get your $$$$ worth out of the forum alone. How about group buys other forums do it. There could be a list from an importer used to gauge interest in some rarer/expensive fish. Then perhaps a shipment could be order and sent out to the local shops with a fee paid to the local shop for holding till collection. What ever is done it would be very detrimental to the hobby here if the LFS suffered. Public should never get wholesale.
  19. Hi All, I would like to add a few killies to my 250l community tank it currently has 10 forktail rainbows,8 gertrude rainbows, 12 CPD's, 5 rummy nose,6 red line rasbora and 6 dwarf chain loaches. There are heaps of plants. I would like to add 1 type of killie perhaps 3-5. I feed white worms, micro worms ,frozen brine shrimp dried blood worms and flake. So they need to be happy with that. Are there any tiny ones around It would be good if they stay smaller then a rummy nose. I have never kept killies before but have seen some very nice fish around just they all seem to be a little big for this tank. Any suggestions on type or where to get them would be appreciated. Regards Mad Whip
  20. +1 but I have never seen them in fresh water.
