  1. I have two Bengal loaches but they are lazy and just steal the cory chips rather than eat the snails they are ment too. Is there a fish and plant safe snail poison? I hate those little snail buggars they are killing my amazon sword. Death to the snails I say :evil: .

  4. Yes some sort of clay or clay like soil. I would think the turtle would make a mess with it but hay that's what they do.

  6. His fish room was tight in space 6 foot tank with lids is a good place to sit small breeding tanks to keep them warm untill one of the lids on the 6 foot oscar tank slipped and the two little tanks fell in. I was shocked also.

  8. Hi Every body, Just wondering if anyone has any Celestial Pearl Danio \ Galaxy Rasbora or has seen any for sale. When these fish first hit the hobby I was just changing my set up to Malawi Mbuna. Now I have a 4 footer to hold them with plants and no big hungry Cichlid mouths to eat them I could house them. Only problem is I cant find any..... Any help would be "owsome". James
  9. Dwarf Chains seem to be the way for me I'm thinking.
  10. I just don't like snails. The tank is 250L four foot. I intend to end up with three bettas a school of corys and about 100 ember tetra. There are 2 otos and 2 small plecs to eat the alge. Does any one have dwarf chain loaches? I like them as they are small.
  11. Hi All, I got some plants from a friend and now I have snails. I was thinking of getting a loach or two to eat them I want a breed of loach that is not nippy toward my Male betta,tetras and corys. the tank will be densely planted so want to keep to a small snail eater. Cheers James
  12. Hi Mark, That's a mint CT you have there. I bet he has a top notch tank set up. I picked up a nice blue delta male and a blue female. I'll trade fry with you in a month or two going well.
  13. Hi all, Here's an update. So it has gone from this To this......so far It now has 6 four foot tubes 36w 6500k 18 Corydoras sterbai The lights are wicked bright. I can't wait to get more fish and plants. The java fern is only a temporary.
  14. Sound advice the angel is going to be more stress than it's worth. Tetra and perhaps a few panda cats to clean up. Good luck with your fish tropical keeping.

  17. Heated pond hell yeah Get mountain clouds I have never seen the mosquito fish down here CHCH. Does the frost kill them? Gold fish are the way to go in a child's $99 pool in summer. That's what I would do bulk feeders. Or if imside how about brichardi cichlids? And if was feeding little mouths guppies in a bare foot long tank with moss and a mincie bubbler. :lol:
  18. I'm glad to hear positive things. I bought 10 on Sunday they are in a breeding program right now so they should be shoal worthy when the tank is growing well. I hope to end up with about 100 total.
