  1. Looking good, Cheers Jamie
  2. Good news! Pics please
  3. This is a pic of the female when I first got her
  4. Cheers Nav/Joe. Unfortunately both my adult rams died so hopefully I get some to adulthood from this lot.
  5. Thought I would share a couple of pics... Dad Baby Blurry pic of growing blue ram fry... Funny how there is a huge difference in the growth rate of these fry.. I guess the bigger ones will start eating the smaller ones
  6. Thanks for sharing DennisP. A spectacular fish!
  7. Unfortunately they are classed as Native as ("self introduced") ex aussie.... otherwise you could shoot it.. Nice bird all the same. A goldfish farm I used to work for some time back had this same problem... Shags were the worst. Sorry to hear Babyruby. Nice of you to warn others. Hovmoller.. what a stupid comment
  8. Yeah, move the male. Both mine died after similar symptoms.. :tears: Thankfully I have some fry from them but very slow growing.. Sorry can't be of much help. Good luck
  9. Have removed the 2 adult rams as they have started to breathe heavily... 2 days later but still breathing fast... no obvious signs of disease/infection.. other fish in tank all A ok. Sorry don't have test kits to test water parameters. Breathing is not at the surface so not an oxygen prob.. Any ideas?
  10. Thanks Joe. Just noticed they are starting to school and hanging around the parents.... who havn't started eating them at this stage
  11. The fry are now semi free swimming... They are scattered all over the tank and the parents are rushing around trying to keep them together. There seems to be well in excess of 100 fry. I don't think they are ready to take food yet as they don't seem mobile enough. Will try and add some pics when I can.
  12. Thanks Joe, Barnacle... Yeah it was a bit of a surprise Joe. I thought seen as I disturbed them he ate them... The bonus is that there are no more fungused eggs!
  13. I just put peat in a sock and pre soak the water... I noticed my male eating all the eggs yesterday.... But! He must have been moving them as I see a heap of wrigglers in a different part of the tank in a small hollow :happy1:
  14. They ate the eggs immediately after removing the eggs with fungus
  15. Some of these eggs now have fungus growing on them.. What is the normal procedure if the parents don't remove these? Do i remove them myself? Will the fungus spread to the good one's? Cheers
  16. 10 days later and she has spawned again
