  1. For those that are interested.. Redwood Aquatics kindly posted a pic of the above fish on their Facebook page plus quite a few other fish.. Some nice looking Fighters. Check them out. I am pretty sure they courier. :cr1:
  2. Hi all. Just wondering whether anyone off here has purchased any of the above as Redwood Aquatics has pairs of them listed.
  3. Nice work Fruju. Hopefully they turn out fertile for you. They are by far the nicest Apisto we have in NZ at the moment, although I did like the pics of the recent Agassizi.
  4. The eggs in the pic got eaten but I have free swimmers from another spawn.
  5. Beaut looking fish :cophot:
  6. Cheers Jamie. Here is a pic of a little Apisto Trifisciata that spawned under a rock tonight. Closely attended by a very protective male...
  7. Just been reading an article from Rudd the bug man... He says the best bait for ants contains "Fiprinol". And suggests checking out www.wetandforget.co.nz and www.flybusters.co.nz.
  8. What do you guys/gals think of this young male Apisto Cockatoo? This female is now guarding eggs..
  9. Hey Caryl. We have had this problem before. We have successfully used Raid liquid ant bait in the past but for a very large infestation, we had to call in the experts.
  10. Thanks guys. With the next batch I think I might take the adults out once they are free swimming. Is a shame because the fry were doing really well.
  11. Unfortunately they ate all the fry :dunno:
  12. Here is a couple more... with babies
  13. This would work but only with soft water... The Ph may change initially with tap water but will revert back to the original Ph.
  14. You won't be able to bring the PH down and keep it stable on tap water unless it is soft. Try using rain water.
  15. Wonderworld Rotorua has them listed.. Whether they have them in store is a different story.. http://www.wonderworldpetcentre.co.nz/s ... 04&search=
  16. And they would know... Mike Wise on there is an Apisto encyclopaedia...
  17. Ok if that's what you are after but risky if you are looking at breeding... Just my thoughts.
  18. I don't use dither fish... Don't really see the point.
  19. Try cutting the bigger ones up. I can usually get 2 or 3 smaller ones... Use a sharp knife, a ruler and some brown tape.
  20. Awesome effort! Looks great
