Or at least grow some interesting fish, not inbred mutant carp.
  2. Ummm...Yeah they do have those shelves at Mitre 10. About 10 different types.
  3. I got bit by one of my Brazillian Puffers...Didn't hurt though.

Oops, sounds like I was wrong about the right type of ammonia. Cloudy ammonia isn't pure ammonia.
  5. Severums and geophaguses...Phagii? would be my suggestion.
  6. And it doesn't seem like a good business plan to get into market which has several major businesses getting out of it because they are losing too much money.

Given that it is a bacteria then I'd say yes, the bacteria does have to be in the water too. You can't have it without it.
  8. You forgot references to the iraq war and Bush.
  9. No, this is football. They both suck and are not worth watching.
  10. Apparently yes.
  11. Are they a water polo team?
  12. Red...Sports car...So stereotypical midlife crisis. Well, it would be more so if it was a corvette, but MX5s are a lot cheaper.

    Mine's a 3 year old athlon64.
  14. It's not supposed to be sharp because you're not supposed to be and can't cut the holes. You grind them.

Interestingly, I put a watt meter on my PC...Idle power was 220ish watts, playing a game that should stress the CPU and video card was 260ish. :-?
  16. It's not quite overstocked, I do suggest putting them in a blender though, otherwise all the odd shapes won't fit into the tank.

Agreed, it won't cycle without a source of ammonia. So, go buy some ammonia and dose the tank with a few drops a day. I think "Cloudy ammonia" at the grocery store is the right stuff. I've heard you should shake it, if it foams up it's the wrong stuff. Maybe more like a teaspoon every day would work.
  18. I think you guys have it all wrong. That's a scuba tank, he's just waiting for some wheels to be put on it so he can drive around.

I just started up seti@home again a couple days ago. Only getting about an average credits of 23!
  20. Should work, just make sure you get the dimensions right, will likely be a very fine line between slightly too small so with the airhose they don't fit snugly enough to stay and too large that you can't get them into place.
  21. Maybe you just need to ask them nicely and they'll walk over and rub themselves on it?
  22. Or do what I do, not care if it looks a little frosted, I don't want anyone looking at me when I'm showering anyway.

"Extraordinary Claims Demand Extraordinary Proof" Beliefs based on personal preference and distrust of modern science despite the lack of any reliable evidence are not extraordinary proof. Mental illness or drug induced hallucinations are far more likely and provable causes for seeing your fish dancing around in your fish tank singing about salmon.
