Where did you bring the laptop from? Would help if you mentioned what OS you have. I'm guessing probably Vista, I haven't touched that yet. In XP though you can start up Windows explorer, right click on the drive in the left hand pane, properties and then select all the autoplay options under the auto play tab. Easiest would probably be to set them all to ask every time.

It's just about perfect here. About 26° according to the fish tank thermometers inside the house, probably about the same outside. Just a little breeze.

I've seen, coming out of the Terrace tunnel in Wellington, a fixed speed camera, a mobile speed camera and a cop with a radar gun all within about a kilometer. :evil:

It'll work, but it's not really a durso. As long as you're not putting much water through it, it should be fine. Dursos just have their noisy threshold much higher, mine at 4000-5000 liters per hour made heaps of noise.

It'd work well for a river tank with a(Or several) big pumps on a closed loop pumping out of one end and into the other end. Could get a good current going.

Yup. Grab a heater when it's turned on(in the water) sometime. As long as there's a bit of flow they don't even get hot to the touch.

Hahaha, That's like saying, "I would recommend a 5 pound sledgehammer over a 10 pound, so much less painful when you hit your foot with it..." Neither one is any good if you're wanting a quiet bird.

Pretty much what Stella says. I think most cannisters are built backwards. They should be built upside down from how they are, with the pump on the bottom. Then they'd never get an airlock.

Sounds like you're just not priming it properly. Most smaller centrifugal pumps don't pump air well.
