  1. Don't expect they'd effect the PH much unless there's some bits of old mortar on them or they're concrete bricks. They're pretty inert.
  2. That would only have the effect of likely causing a lot of pain to the pig making its ears tastier for the birds. Capsaicin basically only effects mammals, birds are completely uneffected. Either some kind of bittering agent, pets shops might have some sprays intended to stop puppies from chewing on things, or a hat.
  3. Probably be easier to just pick up a batch of mealworms if that's what you're looking for. Not nearly as big, but they're easier to find.
  4. I think most health insurance policies cover ambulances. So surely it's worth skipping a trip to mcdonalds once a month to pay for the policy.
  5. The grand total work I've needed to do to my Poulan is occasionally adjusting the chain tension. I've had it 3-4 years and I've done nothing to it other than put a better chain on it and it always starts easily. Always starts in exactly the same number of pulls even.

I don't see you mentioning an apple snail before. Kind of like asking people to figure out where your cookies went and not mentioning you left them on the coffee table where your dog could get them...

Yeah, but you'd probably need to fiberglass the inside of it or carpet it and use pond liner. There's really no point when you can buy secondhand tanks for pretty cheap on trademe.
  8. Another pic... And the kittens aunt...
  9. The really cheap one should be ok. But I'd go with the Aqua One. Probably a CF1200 instead though. Can never have too big. And I've had 3 running for a couple years only time I've ever had a problem with one was when one wouldn't run properly due to having the intake hose connected to the outlet connection.
  10. Yup, should be fine.
  11. Keep going, you're 1% done!
  12. You were infested by parasites that eat you from the inside out and your fish tank cracked in the process? Or is that just my worst nightmare?
  13. Nah, I'm reasonably happy with mine. It's a crappy compact but it still manages pictures like below, which I'm happy with. Could certainly do better with a dslr and the right lenses, but not $1500 better to me.
  14. TWEET! TWEEET!TWEETWEEETWEETWEETWWWWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEET!TWWEEEET!!!! TWEEEEEET!!!...........................TWEEETTWEETTWEETWEETWEEEEEEEEET! My money is on that being why.
  15. Definitely need a dslr. My camera gets really noisy after only about 15 seconds. (Also only goes up to 15 seconds.)
  16. TPIUWOPS. (This Post Is Useless WithOut Pictures)
  17. There are quite a few temperature controllers available for marine tanks. They're a bit expensive and probably wouldn't really work very well for dozens of tanks off a single giant heatpad.
  18. Likely a coincidence, unless there was a chemical or something in the water that was irritating the cories so they'd hide.
  19. Regenerative braking isn't exactly new technology.
