  1. I might get the heater there, but I don't see the point in the filter. They live in swamps and things.
  2. I have a yellow one on. I think it was about $100.
  3. When there small I just fed them flies from around the home and anything small. I had a big one (not sure on the name) and I fed it the big black crickets. I would think they would accept whiteworms? Chris-

    EELS

I saw 2 Albino Eels in Australia. On the sheet it had these are very rare, and don't survive in the wild as they are easy targets. do u know how big it is? if u want to see it, drop a container of blood in the creek and it should come up.
  5. In Jansen's Mt Eden they also had some Freshwater ones. These would be coldwater wouldn't they? How easy would they be to breed?
  6. How do u breed goldfish? Increase the temperature or something?
  7. Welcome Meggy. Goodluck with the siamese fighters.
  8. You can buy special underwater lights from the petshops. They come in different colours (yellow, red, green, etc) and it looks really cool if you have them in a cave or something similar. I have one in my tank and it looks really nice under the log. Chris-
  9. + you will need your tank setup for atleadt 4 weeks before you get the discus so you get the bacteria and things you need. Also, be ready for regular water changes (atleast twice a week). Goldie - how big are ur clown loaches now? I too love the Clown Loaches. mine are a couple of years old now (about 3 - 4").
  10. Sure you can put a picture on here. Got a digital camera?
  11. Are they swimming or just at the top of the tank the whole time? What fish are they?
  12. Clown Loaches take ages to grow. I don't know if you would want anymore bottom feeders considering 4 clown loaches in a 45g should be efficient. I would maybe put tetras / barbs etc.

oh and, discus need water changes once every 2 days (of if you can, every day). They need the clean water to grow and not make them stunted. The rule is 10gallon for each adult discus unless doing daily water changes. Chris-

    :(

! Might be getting rid of my discus or the whole thing I seem to have an alergy to something in it. Maybe it's the bloodworms, I dunno. What I get is a itchy eye, then it turns sore. When I feed them at night and go to bed my nose starts running. I'm now not going to feed them (someone else is) but the future of freshwater is uncertain ! Anyone else had something like this?

If you go with discus, you would need to get rid of all that you have. Get cardinal tetras / neons / rummynoses. You could keep the Clown Loach, but just watch it at night to see if it's hassling the discus. You could also have Bristlenose Catfish in with them as well as cory's. Don't put anything that will attack the discus. They will hide in the corner, go black and probably get sick. Chris-
  19. I know people that age water for 24hours. Can't remember the reason though.
  20. Sorry Ira, I meant the ones found here and if there legal to keep.
