  1. What kind you getting? How many? What ya putting them with ? If ya want them to breed I hear you need to give am live food and make a mop for them. Goodluck though
  2. Goodluck with the killies then
  3. yes I was going to but Caryl suggested doing something like this: Buy a sponge filter and place it in a established tank. Then after *so many days/weeks* take it out, and place it in the new tank with 50% water from the established tank and 50% new water. Then add the fish. What do you guys feel about this? Any help is appreciated.
  4. with, though I would be careful about the clowns and the albinos. Have heard clowns like the eyes from cories. Also you would need to do frequent water changes.
  5. 2 / 3 clowns should be alright for a 2ft tank for the little time.,
  6. It's just I have a higher post count, but he's been here for 1 year longer so he wants to beat me
  7. Thanks Alan. Will ask at the chemist tomorrow.
  8. Thanks Alan, will have to go out and buy some test kits. Those killies you posted are very pretty .. hopefully the bug won't catch when I get my first trio .. Once I join up to the NZKA and show interest *hopefully* I might be able to get the Auckland breeders details.. Oh Alan, where do you get you're pure ammonia from? Did you feed them live food or did they do it by luck ? Thanks, Chris
  9. Ok, looking at getting a trio of killies. Are there any killies that you don't have to take the eggs out of the water etc, and you can just leave them in the tank? Also, what PH range do they like? Cheers
  10. Have you spotted anymore? Chris-

    Clown Loach

There's a petshop (smallish one) near BirdBarn that has a large clown (would be about 15cm+) I think they want about $150.
  21. At what age do the petshops take the kribs in? I have seen some lovely kribs that I really like!! I think they are albino ones. Wouldn't mind trying to breed them. What do you recommend (male:females) 1:1? Can they be put with any other fish like corys/bristlenose/guppies? Cheers
  22. I'm after some cory's, does anyone breed them or know a breeder (pref in the auckland area)? Cheers ^_@
  23. Congrats Can't wait to see the pics!
  24. Ahh lung fish! They are very cool At botany they have a large silver arow and a large knifefish, probably both you're ones, $700 or something for both, $399 for the arow or $350 for the knifefish.
