  1. Have you tested the water to see if there's anything going on there?
  2. How long has the tank been set up Oreo? A few more details would be really helpful. Other tankmates (very important as he may be being bullied) Size of tank Filtration Water details
  3. Yeah, I'd miss mine too. They're just mild mannered little fishes, but there's something incredibly addictive about them. Mine aren't line bred or anything special, but they're pretty and they're healthy (touch wood) .....when you're ready to set up your tanks again if you can't find healthy line bred breeding stock, you're more than welcome to some of mine.
  4. They really are stunning! Never seen anything half that pretty up here. What are you breeding in your tanks at the moment?
  5. Haven't had a chance to as yet Peter......got a bit sidetracked looking at his gallery of full red guppies.
  6. Thanks for the link Peter

hi Jude the yoyo looks like a yoyo to me the golden zebra doesn't look like a zebra (striata) .......not sure what that one is, will have a hunt round see if I can find any info. sue
  10. How big's the tank Plec? What sort of filtration, heated, planted or unplanted and what other fish inhabitants? Welcome to the forum sue
  11. My kribs ate the first couple of hatchings, then all of a sudden they figured it out and they were off!! After that they either had eggs or young fry most of the time. I did end up putting them in a small very well planted tank of their own though as, apart from being extremely aggressive with any other fish when they had eggs, had a feeling it was having the other fish present that encouraged them to eat their eggs/fry. Haven't got them now as I needed their tank for the rams, and lfs wasn't always eager to take the fry. Living up here it's easier to breed fish that I can find a ready market for. sue
  12. Hope everyone had a wonderful day! sue
  13. Best guppy book I've got is one published by t.f.h. 'The Proper Care of Guppies' author Stan Shubel. It's full of practical advice and well written. It doesn't have a chart of the tails I don't think. 'The Guide to Owning Guppies' by Homer Mozart (also published by t.f.h) covers that better. Both books were available here in NZ, I got them at a lfs last yr. sue
  14. Would be helpful to know what size tank are you going to put it into, and other tank mates the cichlid will live with. Have you got soft or hard water, planted............think that's all for a start  sue
