hi
what are these in with , i have mine in with kribs as i thought they were all peaceful fish but my male krib whos 5 to 6 cm keeps picking on the small keyhole but not the big keyhole. I just put them in the same tank 2 days ago so could it be a settling in thing.
I pay 35 here with a commuity card and sometimes i am waiting an hour, even with the baby. Sometimes feel like pinching the baby so they will see me sooner lol just kiddling
Have not breed for me yet , i dont have my males together and i think the big one in with females may be just too old as he not as active as the females, the female that has tiny tiny bristles are not all over and bushy like the males and the body shape is different.
I got two males as well . one male is huge and real bushy and the other is bushy too just not as big , I have 2 females one with tiny bristles and one with none but not breed for me yet.
Have you got plants up top, I know in my mums tank (mumzy50) she thought she only had a few but later on realized they were hiding in the floating plants.
i Have changed the water each time after its boiled for a bout 15 mins , its not as dark now so maybe ill just stop now and hopefully it won't leech.
Thanks
I got the idea of this site , but from what i read it said boil for an hour will i been boiling for like 3 hours and its still leeching, is there something i can put in it to stop that, I just dont want it leeching it to my tank.
Any ideas
The fish in tanks are happy weather its bear bottomed or full of decorations plants etc, If they werent you would know, i know with my fish if they not happy there fins clamped or they dont eat or they sulk and hide etc so if people know they not happy they would try to cater for that. eg. catfish like caves etc so we give them that, would they breed if they were not happy. I have a fighter in a bare bottom tank and hes happy as but if i was to put a catfish in there im not sure he would be.
CT fighters, Guppies, swordtails, platties, white worms , micro worms. hopefully in the near future keyholes, Apples snails and what ever else i find and like
that is awesome , wish i had a swimming pool tho im sure my kids would be in there with the fish but they would learn pretty quick not to be in there
The fish hve a lung-like labyrinth organ, which enables them to breathe air. fighters and gouramies need to come up for air. the air goes in to there blood steam to allow them to stay under the water for a while.
Hope thats helps
My first attempt at breeding took hours, the second time it didnt look like she was dropping many eggs by the time they had done when he didnt want her anymore i thought there wasnting many but when they hatched there were over a hundred. Good luck with you breeding.
