  1. Picked up an rsm, wanted to try a nano all in one so took the opportunity. http://www.redseamax.com/redseamax/250t ... s130D.html Unit is not that old but had a hard life, both Pl bulbs were gone so took out the lights and retro fitted an LED unit, it was a 90cm so cut 34cm off the heat sink with the drop saw. Ordered a new impellor for the skimmer and scavenged one also for 1 of the flow pumps, amazing the things you collect over the years. The tank is a tidy unit that the designers have used the space well in, the back 100mm contains the skimmer, pumps and seperate plug box, all cables and switches are labelled and recessed into frame and covered. Unit came with 10kg of live that war covered in majano anemones so i cooked the rock in a bucket of salt water for 2 weeks to kill them all off, no aeration or water movement. Put rock back in sump of a mature system to enliven it again. To be continued...

  17. The chances of 'Sports' can be greater but faults can be increased also, ensuring your progeny develop to adults properly is paramount to keep genetic lines clean. Some inherited weaknesses can take a few years to become apparent, breeding immature animals can hide these faults for longer, as our available gene pool is so small greater care needs to be taken.
  18. A smaller gene pool can produce a variety of mutations also
  19. This thread is not bovine excrement, it is based on my personal concern for the hobby in NZ and the want to ensure that the correct information is in the public domain.

  21. matters to me as from what i have read elsewhere posted by you and previous posts on here your information seems to contradict my research and understanding of gecko morphs so i would be interested in furthering my knowledge base from other learned keepers
  22. what happens on another site has nothing to do with the running of this one unless it directly contravenes our rules it is amazing how the way one posts can give the reader a perception of the poster that is the opposite of what they intended ps: what overseas forums do you use as your guidelines for morphs?
