just a thought but this site is to promote the fish keeping hobby not to further someone breaking the law it sucks that you can keep an axy but not one once it is morphed basically the same animal i suppose it is because one can move on land

old saying is "if you have livestock, you also have dead stock" sometimes fish can die of natural causes it may be nothing or the start of something if all water parameters check out fine it maybe parasitic look closely at remaining fish and observe them for changes in personalities etc

the jardini might hurt him just priced the fibreglass 20litre kit of epoxy anvd 20 sq metres of cloth is $628 incl gst does anyone know if this is a fair price?

are you talking probing the vent? if so you need to know what you are doing or you can do some damage also the males can retract their bits even further the best way is to enjoy keeping the lizards if they breed it is a bonus

the amazing thing with the larger predators in the wild is that they do indeed gorge themselves and then not feed for awhile the large fish eat larger prey and then hang around digesting it the jardini will stuff himself until the food is hanging out of his mouth then spend 4 hours trying to swallow it he has put on some size in the big tank henny baby

best place for it the same as doing red ears the first egg can be small, but i have had them fertile

as alanmin said if you are keeping animals already available to the general population in nz you only have to deal with local bylaws and resource consents etc
