  1. another reason for drop eye maybe that in the wild they spend most of the time looking up for food whereas in the tank there is really only a bright light or lid to look at for most of the day
  2. maybe the animals, fish etc are just there so everyone buys the accessories that go with them

  5. saw a huge fishroom years ago done by a Reg Adams here in tauranga 8 guage fencing wire in sandbed with tanks on top run off a young arc welder, temp was determined by the length of wire he used don't know how long it lasted though

  7. i have done this but use "green" salt water full of algae, plankton etc, flat dishes in full sun all day and a slow flow through a sump heated during winter

  10. i walked through the long grass today and there were 1,000's of those little brown crickets and red grasshoppers everywhere the reptiles are now full

  16. had it since it hatched out of the egg if you had it since an egg, would it be friendlier? possibly but i would try to minimise the petting while still in the egg stage
  17. water dragons aren't really a "pettable" pet they are incredibly fast this is shaky, handled since young and the water dragon we use when doing animal handling demonstrations their back legs are very powerful with good claws attached
  18. dixon you are correct and win the prize not a pro but the best result can be to skim the water in the first compartment of your sump where the overflow enters i think it can essentially go in any chamber in the sump

  20. the reeves in question is a fat boy and doesn't have keels on the shell but what appear to be 3 lumps reeves have been here since i was 12 and that is way more than 26 years ago
