some conjecture on this, i have a female with 7 clear bars on one side and 6 on the other some would say it is bad breeding some others would say maybe mixed bloodlines i say it is a nice fish about 10 inches long 1 of his females has held and spat, too many other mouths for any survivors

finding pure lines now will be difficult and brings us back to that hoary old chestnut of correct ID

mine sit on their heatpads light or not but i do place light and pad in the same area

+1 i like to call a spade a spade as well, a digging implement doesn't have the same ring to it we can't force others to behave the way we want them to and as said we can't force them to respond to our questions either indeed having a lot of experience doesn't mean one is an expert we have a set of rules on this board that have been put in place then adjusted as situations have arisen that needed adressing because of the wide range of ages and personalities involved on here it is hard to please everyone

yes it is, better to cut a bit off while frozen

yes you can slow them down that way don't freeze them

i have done this with a glass hole saw and a cordless drill on slow used a spray borttle to keep it wet started at an angle and slowly straightened it up better with an empty tank to releve pressure on the glass you can't drill toughened glass need the right size hole for the bulkhead fitting you are going to use hole saw can be bought on trademe or M10 or the like

good question bikbok i have used thawed and refrozen mysis and lost some seahorses but other horses were alright same with bloodworms lost a tank of young fish, but fed others bloodworms from same packet and was ok as alan has said they can become toxic, especially the bloodworms i do buy in bulk though and use within 3 to 4 months

would the amount of salt in the water have an effect on the amount of dissolved oxygen it will hold?

as you have said if you are only buying for yourself not a problem soliciting to fill out a minimum order might be though
