what size are the red worms? are these the garden type worms?

Ive added a bit of floating green stuff (weeds) and the smaller fry hide there. Paul, they do grow slowly so Im not sure if mine will be big enough but if they are, I will bring some down with all proceeds to the club. I will hopefully bring down some Grindle worm cultures that are fully set up and working as some have trouble in getting them going

got probably 15 or so with more due in a week or so I have a witness for the first 10 so will record it Im sure the larger fry eat the newly hatched so beware

silicne takes 1 day per mm of seal to set in general so if your glueing 6mm glass you should have a 7mm joint and therefore a 7 day cure time is recomended. Alan is correct in saying he has used the tank the next day but its recomended to wait a week. On a 16mm joint(frameless showers), I have found the silicone still wet after 3 weeks in the centre of the join

most boats will have them for hire Where are you going... Cairns? if you are I can recomend a boat that was nothing short of great. Most boats will also offer a dive option with the divemaster for those that are not ticketed and I would strongly recomend that you do it... snorkling is nice but you see only about 25% of what a diver sees as the fish are camoflarged. When you are at their level or below, the colours will stand out and realy impress you...this I promise you will also see the 3D structure of the reef rather than just the view from above. I am a diver so am biased but I doubt that I could be bothered snorkeling knowing what I wont see because Im not diving (if that makes sense) he he he... see what I did? Wok

Normally they wont lay unless there is a male in the tank but if the male is not doing the business (not really interested) then the eggs wont have a very good strike rate. Aaron Try puting them in another tank in a different position and raising the ph

unusually enough it seems to be the male Australe that looses interest Most killis it the f/m that does a runner

I think they need a new enviroment at times to get them keen again... separating the male out will often not work

Put the eggs in a small container with a bit of meth blue... that help stop fungussing. They sometimes will lay heaps of eggs for say 2 or 3 months, then just dont bother at all. One way to often start them off again is to raise the ph to 7 . Both my Chocs and Golds are on strike at the moment although the chocs laid about 10 eggs this morning. Feeding small amounts of food twice a day is also better than once a day just as live food is better than frozen or dried
