Good idea If you do it, make sure there is only a tiny bit of vas on it. To much will stuff up the mold. Another option is to try glad wrap as its thin

IMO that stocking is way to quick Cycling is not just chucking some chems in the tank and hoping it all goes well. Same situation if it spikes You need to give your tank time for the good bacteria to build up My 2cents What filter you running?

Glass shelves glued with silicone, iv seen it done. One bit is the shelf and 1 or 2 bits are triangular supports Hard to explain lol If you dont quite get it pm me and ill do up a pic for you
