I have a cold water native with a few plants. 220L No food has been added to it. It does have Dalton's aqua mix and plants out of the wild. Minimal surface movement Then i have my 280L running a fx5 filter with a ton of surface movement. Feeding Disus tucker, shrimp and pellets This tank also has surface film Same situation in my 38L breeders as the 280L So im not 100% convinced its the food

Yes there have been a few come up. Mostly on here. I contacted a few shops and had a chat to them, they said when they had them in the where selling for about $18 each. But now noone has access to them(apart from private sales) Id never pay $80 for a single FW/Brackish puffer, but thats just me. I may think about it if they where a community fish

Can you get halides that are under 70w? I think you can run a 150w bulb on a 70w fitting. So maybe get a ballast of something else? A bit OT here but was think about a halide for my 38L last night

I use news paper I have it in tanks where no food is being added. I always believed it was from my skin

I have been told that they will be all right with a PH of 7.5. Hahahaha my Oscar are not aggressive by my standards. Yes the Oscar are meant to be aggressive, but i dont think mine are I also have a grey fish with a lump on its head. He is not a lump head at all. I will upload a photo of it to find out if anyone can identify him.

Many people are after them Just some off us give up and there are not many around or get hooked on other fish

Ill let you know when i have problems Been doing it for years with no diseases at all. Iv olny had one fish die on me, a guppy(doesnt inc the feeders) As some on said (Carl?) its just like a fish diving to the deeper waters, not all the water is the same temp

lol yeh i just changed its water Looks like it has a lump down its back just down from it head like it had a broken back, iv only just noticed it today....hrmmm He hasent eatian much lately and want to chuck some bugs in my native 220L and then feed them to him over time Hes only in a 150mm long tank lol You breed mysids?

I dont use traps. I think its unneeded work I just leave them in my 40l tanks with a few plants such as java moss. My platties are med-large and they are not eating the young yet

Im after some small water bugs such as water boat men for my small eel to feed on Is there anyone out there that has a pond or similar with bugs in them? The Taupo cold has killed most water bugs and i cant find any!

I have one Mine had a part break and they sent me a new part for free Iv had to modify to shop it breaking again I find mine quite noisy and cant make it go quiet Both my heaters from them over heated, one went red hot and looked burnt inside, but they only replaced one I wouldnt buy one again
